Hi All-
I'm taking a low-dose/baby aspirin each day this time around since I fear I have a tendency toward autoimmune issues and thought this might help.

Anyhow, I've been having some brown spotting today (13 dpo). This is about when my AF would have arrived, so it might not be that weird. I never had spotting around expected AF time with either of my other pregnancies.

Have any of you used baby aspirin? Did you notice it caused you to spot at all? I'm wondering if I shouldn't take it. I'm going for my first beta hCG test on Tuesday and I can ask about it then, too.

Thanks!

I'm taking baby asprin. My first pregnancy on it, no spotting for me.

Hey no problem. I am sure you are fine, some spotting is normal. My cousins bled bright red through her entire pregnancy and she has a beautiful 8 month old son to show for it!

OK, thanks. I am just a little nervous since when I spotted around 6 weeks and 7 weeks during my 2 pregnancies, it led to miscarriage.
Since this is earlier, I assume it's just related to leftover implantation or light AF or something. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Thanks again :)

i have been taking asprin and low dose clexane to thin my blood due to a blood clotting disorder. the asprin is used to thin blood alone in some women so for this reason alone yes, you are more likely to bleed / spot than other women. So far I have had about 6 light bleeds and at my last scan wednesday just gone all was perfect. good luck, it's a worrying time but bleeding is not always bad xxx

Yeah I took asprin 75mg and 40mg clexane too as have auto immune probs but you shouldnt take it unless youve been told to the risks are too great. Though the spotting is probably due to the fact your blood is a tad thinner now youre on asprin and will probably be safe id get the OK from taking it continually from your GP or OBGYN.

There are other AI problems that make the blood too thin so taking asprin may worsen them simple blood tests measuring you INR etc will confirm if you do in fact have a clotting issue.

Spotting though, with or without asprin is so common during early pregnancy and i bled continuously with my son who was born a very healthy boy indeed xxxx But do ask about asprin xxx
