Baby aspirin prior to IUI?????????

I've seen posts before about Baby Aspirin, but now I can't find any... lol...

I've recently read that it can help increase blood flow to your uterus which can help the lining become more thick. I want to do everything I can this cycle (even though my doc told me there isn't really anything I can do to help)- lol. But I'm a woman, I want to feel I'm doing SOMETHING!

So I'm drinking my Green Tea and POM juice and I'll take Robitussin to help with my CM right before my fertile time and DTD more this cycle...

BUT- is baby aspirin really OK to take post Ovulation? I would think it's not harmful, but was specifically told not to take anything other than Tylenol after the IUI... so could having that in my system before hand cause issues?

Anyone try this??? Any advice would be appreciated... Thanks ladies

well... I read more thoroughly the paperwork I got from our Fertility Specialist. I remember seeing that Aspirin was on the "don't do" list... HOWEVER, next to that is says "unless 81mg daily"- which is the same dose as baby aspirin.

So... looks like it's OK.

Hey seoj exciting times... I am cd 1 today and first cycle for iui, it's been a long time coming.. Well I asked about the aspirin and the nurses say it's fine To take it. Also some experts actually prescribe it with ivf if there's a history of recurrent miscarriage.. Xxx

Thanks for the info... I ended up taking it from CD1-Ov. After ovulation, I felt a bit weird taking it (even though it should be fine)- but figured it would help me the most pre-ov by getting good blood to my ovaries as I need those to make me some good and healthy eggs! lol. I just hope it worked as I ovulated a day early and just had the IUI with no mid-cycle scan as planned. Guess I'll know soon enough!!!

Hi! I was taking the low-dose aspirin too, after seeing it recommended everywhere - but this week met with Fertility Specialist who said she advises NOT to use it! so much conflicting info ARGH! We are due for IUI in a few months (if HSG test turns out ok). Good luck x

I know right? I really do think the FS just advise to not really do anything. lol. Mine said no herbs and only take a pre-natal vitamin. But on some level, I feel like I have to be my own advocate... and I've heard other doctors advising woman TO take low dose aspirin. UGH! I guess it just all depends on your situation... but I don't think it would hurt prior to ovulation really... I took it this cycle, so we'll see soon enough. But then you'll never truly know if it was the aspirin or luck! lol.

I have ordered a bunch of supplements to help with egg health for next cycle- I did lots of research and they aren't herbs and they are all natural, so it's not gonna hurt to try!

I asked my nurse about the baby asprin, she said to start taking it now (my first IUI is in about a month), she said it helps with blood flow and will also assist in the implantation process. So now I'm taking FOUR pills a day, phew!

That's great- I would for sure try it again... I also ordered lots of supplements for next cycle (just in case) hehe. I want to be prepared!!!!!
