Hi ladies
I'm looking into having a 4d scan and was wondering if anyone has any experience of these 2 places, many thanks x x

Hiya

I had my early scan at 8 weeks at Babes in the Womb. As I understand it whilst they advertise that they are in Livingston and other places they are in fact based in only one place near the Airport at Edinburgh and say they are "near" all the other places including Livi.

My experience there was just wonderful. They were lovely, very calming and treated you like you were a long expected special guest when you arrived. VERY impressed. I arrived early (20mins early) and was taken early. She took a lot of time explaining what we could and couldn't see and was lovely about it. The room was warm, clean and had a huge TV on the wall so we could see the whole thing.

I will definitely be doing back for a 3D/4D scan when I am far enough along.

No experience of Baby Bond but my sister in law went there and said they were fab.

Joy x

Not Livingston but I have had 2 scans at Babybond in Glasgow and cant fault them at all. I had an early reassurance scan with my first pregnancy and the girl was great so we went back this time for our private gender scan at 17+6. The sonographer was actually a sonographer from the hospital I am receiving my ante-natal care at, scans etc and ultimately delivering at and remembered me  Baby wasnt in the easiest of positions but she really spent her time getting him to move around until we saw the important bits. She also pointed out all his other bits - stomach, bladder etc and checked my placenta - and we got loads of pics and a few 3D ones too - one is in my avatar :happydance:

I went to babybond, glasgow. They were excellent!! So informative and the whole experience felt so personal. They took their time, explained everything, asked exactly what i wanted to see. Would defo use them again xx

Have been to babybond in Livingston (and the one in Edinburgh) but not Babes in Womb.

Babybond were brilliant both times (early scan + gender) and I'll definitely be going back for my 3D there. Very professional and skilled staff, and they really took their time with us.

Good luck.

Collie, I was just wondering, what hospital are you going to? I'll be at the southern general and would just like to know if they would tell you the gender there of if I'll need a private scan...I have my 12 week scan in a week and a half, so I'll ask them then, but it's be great to know NOW :D

I'be used babybond Glasgow twice now and they are good, explain everything and not in any hurry to get you in and out quickly, this time our boy was not cooperating at all but she still carried on until we found what we needed! :)

Will def be going back for our 3D one x

We used Babybond in Livie and got on great (albeit 6 years ago!). Reasonable price, very comfortable and we asked not to see the sex which they easily complied with, warning us to look away if necessary. Never used the other group but can recommend Babybond.

I've been to Babes in the womb at the airport twice ow, once at 8 weeks and once at 17+1 for a gender scan - both times were really nice and the place is lovely (you even get a cup of tea/coffee and there are biccies and sweets to help yourself to!!)

We will be going back for a 3d/4d scan at the end of next month - also if it makes a difference, Babes in the Womb do a deal where you get the next (2d) scan for £49.50 once you have been this pregnancy, or 15% off 3d/4d scans.

No experience of babybond but I've heard only nice things about it
