Lucky - hope you're ok after your fall. You are "lucky" to get to ride horses, though, love them!
Jem - that would be so scary with Demi, Glad you're getting her all checked out. Not sure, but I don't think I'd call amb either if she's ok shortly and it's something that's happened before. Probably the school would call as a liability issue.
Embo - hope you're ok. What happened?
We did all our going out together on vacations the past few years and that's about it, I used to work long hours and most of our local friends had one by one moved away. We went out for dinner after the 20 week u/s last year. We really don't go many places out together, which has helped us now that Blake's here, we don't feel like we're missing out.
I should have mentioned this before but with Blake being 2 months early, his lungs are underdeveloped (basically the air tubes in his lungs are more narrow), so any cold/illness, especially flu, could jump right to his lungs and cause very serious problems. Ever since his NICU stay, all his drs and nurses look us right in the eyes and tell us any sickness in his first year, even a cold, could kill him, so we cannot take him anywhere in public around people, especially other children. It's very strict, no stores, no restaurants, no church, no guests in our home... We are allowed to take him on walks outside, just keep away from others, we cross the street or something if kids are out playing. For drs appts, we get first appt in the morning before any others arrive.
I'm sorry I didn't explain this all earlier, been tiny bit jealous of all you girls getting out and about with your babies, showing them off and having them meet family. Didn't want anyone feeling sorry for us either because Blake is doing SO well, better than even expected, and we are so very lucky.
