Hiya Jem. Hope you are ok. Not been feeling too good and Thomas not been well. Feeling sorry for myself!! Xx

You feeling poorly or feeling down? How's Thomas coping with the heat? Xx

 hey, ladies!

just read up on the last 10 pages or so and popping in to say hi. nice to hear some babies out there are getting some super amazing sleep stretches!

I have been full of a cold, now hay fever kicked in with a vengeance! Thomas wasn't too good with his first cold. Feeling sorry for myself with that then major work pressure at the min is getting on top of me. SIL then got in touch and just offloaded how down she is (she has been off work since march last year with mat leave and as she was due back said she had anxiety/depression so is off for the summer hols then has tons of leave to take. Grrrr
How is everybody?

Aww, hun. :hugs:

Today is our 3 year wedding anniversary, so - despite not having a great night - I am determined to have a good day. We're also off out this evening for dinner, and leaving Harry with Alex's parents!

Happy anniversary Mrs, meal sounds nice... Where are you going?
It's our two year anniversary next month and see fancy going to a Thai restaurant.

Lindy I thought your not going back to work for a bit longer?
That's sad about sil....

I'm a bit un motivated today, can't be bothered to do anything, yet I have some things I should be doing, like going to town.
Instead I have good old Jezza on, ruby chilling on the floor and I'm about to play snap with Demi.
X

Thanks honey. SIL just does not want to go back to work!

Mrs- enjoy meal. Sound lovely.

I do know the feeling of not wanting to go back but hate the thought of no money.
My boss had just texted me... Agreed my 7 weeks holiday, so I return on the 5th of Jan :)
I'm doing two kit days next month and hopefully four in September, so I have money at the end of the month.
Will leave is super tight but I feel my kiddies deserve me off for a year, afterall, I can't ever get this time back! X

How many days are you doing? I'm don for three nights... May do a cheesy ask for term time only? X

I do 18 hours a week. After Ivy did 2 full days and a half day but have asked work for 4 afternoons (1-5.30)

Ivy's childcare for 3 afternoons is free from January and my Mum will have her the other afternoon and Elodie on all the afternoons.

I like the idea of spending some of everyday with them that way. I hated the 2 full days away from Ivy. I used to get home and have to lay next to her in bed sniffing her hair because I felt so detached from her :nope:

Oh gosh that made me well up!
After Demi I did two full days but was out the house 7:15am till 7:30pm. I didn't see the girls from Sunday night till Wedsneaday morning. Was very tough!
With nights I get to have breakfast and have tea together. Isla will be at school and the younger will go to mil two days a week so I'm very lucky. Although I'm hoping to find a two day a week job that will fit in. So nice knowing I have another six months off :)

I feel really lucky to have family help, my Mum is wonderful with babies. I trust her the same with them as I would do myself.

It'll be tough going back. All the organisation. DH will have to do dinner for the girls before I am home so I will need to be very prepared and cook in the evenings and make use of the slowcooker etc so he can manage.

It was a special time for DH when he did 3 dinners and bedtimes with Ivy a week when I was working - they bonded really well and we became more equal with the parenting, he taught me a lot about things to make Ivy eat better.

2 girlies will be more of a challenge for him!

Ha ha, yes Shaun didn't cope well. He'd pick them up from his mums and often do tea- if they hadn't had it at his mums...bath and bedtime. But now Shaun gets out of all that. It's a shame really that he finds it all so stressful. His missing out.
I feel more comfy knowing I'm about, I don't get break but at least the house is calm ish.

I'm sure your husband will be fine. Love the slow cooker too!

Eep. I'm going back for 30 hours a week. Too much?

Jem, we're going to this restaurant: https://www.pinocchioscanterbury.com/index.html

It's lovely, and has really good reviews on TripAdvisor. :D
