Hi ladies. Has anyone else found that leg length etc varies sooo much depending on where you get it from... my daughter is long and slim.

Next sleepsuits in first size did not fit her from birth. As for 0-3... she has bits from everywhere. Matalan have alot of growing room (long arms and legs) in 0-3 sleepsuits..... tesco have long feet but not so generous on the arms and the body seems to be alot more clingy....asda 0-3 seem to fit her perfect at the moment at six weeks of age. Mothercare sleepsuits are a good fit too.

with leggings ive noticed asdas 0-3 are the same as sainsburys 3-6. Bext 3-6 are slightly longer than sainsburys.

next 3-6 vests are bigger than asdas 3-6.

Matalan vest seem to be really out of shape around the neck and shoulders.

I put a bag of 3-6 months away thinking it wont be needed till may. But i have found that everything varies so much and ive put some of it in the wardrobe now because if i had waited it would never of got any wear.

its all so hit & miss. This is a pointless post probs but thought id share :-) xx

I always find next and Asda are the largest too! They also seem to was better Tesco and Primark always seen to shrink after couple washes!

I have never tried matalan clothes but might have to have a look for summer. ... :)

I find it nightmare buying clothes from different places and it gets worse as they get older. I'm constantly being told my 3 year old is tall for his age and yet in most shops he still wears 18-24 month trousers. I hardly ever buy clothes for mine without them being there to check their size

DS is 97th for length but relatively slender, we've found that John Lewis and M&S are the best for length v tummy. Next are by far the worst!

I always find m&s are too wide compared to length. Next sleepsuits shrink badly the old 0-3 ones from ds are the same as her new first size ones.
Xx

Its crazy isnt it!?

Dd3 seems to fit well in her next sleepsuits, which seem a bit larger than tesco ones (which I find shrink a bit) and Asda ones (which dont shrink but just seem a bit smaller made)
Matalan sleepsuits are very wide and baggy, but quite short lol.

All three of my girls have fitted differently in different makes. It is so confusing!

Dd2 is pretty average size and she is still fitting in 12-18mths fine but gets away with 18-24 in most places too.

Dd1 is 4 and is going into 4-5 for both tops and bottoms. She only ever wears dresses so it doesnt matter if they are a little long, and trousers hang off her anyway.

I always prefer their clothes to be a bit loose anyway, as i cant imagine it is comfortable to run around jn tight clothes

Its so annoying. DD who is 9 months, is wearing a pair of jeans in 3-6 months and a top in 12-18 months. Its so random. Primark are the worst. The sizes in there drive me crazy. I have given up looking at sizes and just guess If itwill fit. II've always found asda are quite big, and they don't shrink whereas primark and tesco shrink lots.

Funny story , I was in sainsburys and I saw a shirt for DS and it looked quite big for a 3-4 years then I picked up the exact same shirt in 4-5 years and it was smaller. Like much smaller, I checked the labels on the inside and the sizes were correct on the tags and labels but way off on the clothes.

Yes its so annoying! My LO is long and skinny so the things that fit his legs don't fit his body which means all his onesies that do fit are baggy and he ends up kicking his legs up into the chest part and gets stuck. Poor thing! It's so annoying having to put his legs back into place every hour or so. Asdas are the worst for it.

I have the long and slim problem with both my children. My daughter isn't overly tall but has long legs and jeans are awful as always fall down. We tend to stick with leggings and she is still in 2-3. My son is very tall so can fit 9-12 months in length but 6-9 months around waste. I try to get adjustable watebands if possible. What drives me mad as well is some of the majorly loose neck holes. I tend to buy mother care and asda

i find next and tesco bad for length, and asda and matalan quite good. primark are the worst, I've bought vests out of there twice & they necks have been almost down at my wee ones nipples lol so short in the body!

Matalan vests fall of my daughters shoulders. I find mothercare are too pricey for vests. My daughter sometimes has an explosive nappy and the vest goes straight in the bin lol!! I think ill start getting vests from asda and next from now on. Ive just brought some long sleeve vests from next for her and they look good quality and are again longer than asda lol. Id rather buy things to big and get an extra month out of them if i can.

i put a 3-6 month top on her the other day from asda. Shes got abit of growing room but good job i did not wait.

i get annoyed when you pay alot like next... they charge £16 for three sleepsuits. We got our daughter a pack of first size half price luckily. There was no leg room for her and she was 20 inchs long at birth and not chubby. I know babies come in different lengths and sizes but i never knew how different shops only cater for one body shape. It is just like adult clothes lol

I found the same! Leggings from primark I had a size 0-3 thats the same size as other shops 3-6 (from the waist area). Whilst tops from primark i find the size 9-12 to be the same size as 6-9 from other shops! Also matalan leggings length wise are smaller compared to others such as asda h&m etc..

I mostly shop in Next, Mothercare and Debenhams and find most of their clothing to be on the longer side. We get a few bits from Asda and Mamas & Papas as these seem to wash well but I avoid Tesco and Primark as the sizes are all over the place and they always shrink. I know they are cheap but seems like false economy when you're only wearing them once and then they are too small or out of shape.

X

Love asda vests.. I think H&M and Morrisons nutmeg are usually spot on for size. I find tesco and next a bit big but definitely have the nicest clothes!

Primark are AWFUL for shrinking!

Asda's weight sizes are smaller than most for each age group and say on the packet
