Jack has just been started on baby gaviscon, he's on cow and gate comfort which is a slightly thicker feed. The gaviscon packet says not to be used in thickened feeds. Is this classed as a thickened feed? has anyone used the 2 together? The dr knew Jack was on this milk cos she recommened it.

Thanks in advance

Hey there, Archie was on the two of them together for three weeks. Just use bigger teats however, he did get bunged up so I made sure I gave him water in between feeds.

What stage are you using? 1 or 2 for hungrier babies. A teat 2 move would probably be ok you will see from LOs reaction if its too much I found the best way was to allow the bottle to sit warm for a few minutes whist the gaviscon mixed.

Make bottle - slightly too warm
Add milk - shake
Add gaviscon - shake
Leave to cool
Shake again
Feed

Shake meaning like you do to mix the formula not madly :D

I change to vari flow a few weeks back cos the greedy monster would suck the others flat

Because the feed and gaviscon are both thick i changed to normal formula and just used the gaviscon in it all my girls had gaviscon due to relux.
