Baby has circle on tongue.. what could it be?

6 month old has a perfectly round circle on the back of he tongue. Its darker than the rest of the tongue and slightly indented ... I first noticed it about ten days ago but not sure how long its been there.

OH asked his friend whose a nurse amd he had no clur and said to get it checked out so will be doing that this week buy thought id ask some other parents too.

its not causing any discomfort or anything. ita hard to see because its quite far back

I think my LO has something like you describe. Like his tongue will be white from milk apart from a dot that will stay tongue coloured. If you look at your own tongue after youve eaten you may have them too. I think its normal but if it bothers you get it checked out

Could be geographic tongue which is quite common. Best to get it looked at though x

Is she bottle fed? Maybe it's where the teat pushes down on her tongue each time when she sucks?
