My bub has been headdown since 12 weeks it seems. The last two scans for 20 weeks and 22 weeks(recall coz of babys position) he has been wedged upside down deep in my pelvis and it really worries me, i asked the sonigrapher if it was normal and she said its all fine but i cant help but worry. I dont have pressure but i keep thinking his stuck or that his going to come out!!! :S I feel alone in the fact that my baby is low down. Is anyone elses baby doing this?

for my 20 and 22 week scan i had to be part upside down to coax him out of my pelvis, he slid down towards my abdomen but still remained upside down lol ...headrush!

my first was "engaged" about 2/3rds from about midway through my pregnancy and he arrived nearly 2 wks overdue lol

i wouldnt worry that he's going to be stuck hun, on a plus note there seems to be little chance of him becoming breech lol. I dont have any advice, but i'm sure if the mw's etc were worried they would be keeping a close eye on you x

Some babies just find a position they like and will stay in it for weeks/months...With my son he was Transverse pretty much from 5 months till birth....x

When we had our 20 wk scan wednesday our girlie kept hiding her head in my pelvis :D

xx

My first son was always like that!! From the beginning to the end :-)
He was nearly 2 weeks late and he was fine :-)

This baby is waayyy down low (I can feel him right on my pubic bone), and his head is also down. I asked my doctor if it was ok and she said everything was fine!

hi hun i wouldnt worry to much my baby has been head down from the beggining im 28 weeks now. also this is my 3rd baby and they have all been the same. iv been recalled back to scans as baby head was right in my lady bits  the only bad thing i find is all my movement is felt around my hairline (like she is digging at my cervix toget out :haha: still i do get the occasional kick under my ribs round the side.

My baby has been upside down since 16 weeks. I'm on my 3rd re-scan this Tuesday as she's been burrowed so deep the sonographer can't check her face

My baby is also constantly head down, and I am glad and hope that means he will stay that way, and not go breech on me :-)

I get this feeling too!
I have read so many scary stories about pre term labour and cervical incompetence that it actually REALLY worries me.
:-(
Can really relate to anyone worried about this.
xx

the presentation of your baby makes no difference, some are head up some are head down. How engaged the babys head in the pelvis doesnt matter too much either, your baby may be 3/5 one week and 1/5 a week later, they move up and down. my son was engaged early too but i went 2 and a half weeks past my due date (and he still dint want to come!)

My last child was engaged really early on and felt quite uncomfortable at times. The docs and midwives all thought i'd have her early but she came a day late. My 1st didnt engage until 37 weeks and appeared at 38 lol. This time round, baby was lying across the way at my last scan but i'm now getting a lot of uncomfortable prods round my cervix and kicks to my ribs so i'm thinking it has turned head down. I'll let you know tommorrow! lol xx

Mine too was tucked right into my pelvis...right up until just after a growth scan at 28 weeks. The little monkey is now breech (I'm 33+1). I'm hoping he will turn very soon!
Don't worry, baby is fine there, obviously very comfy :) Not so much for you with a head on your bladder though ay :haha:

My LO was upside down (head down) at my 18 week scan, i think he's turned though because he's kicking in different places

well bubs is still lying accross the way lol. He's ok like that for a while yet but i'm hoping he doesn't get too comfy! lol x

My first had been lying in my pelvis and came out with her head all mis-shapen, a bit like an alien head, me and OH were terrified mw's said its totally normal, it wore off after about a day and her head went normal - this baby was lying the same way at my 20 wk scan but moved after 10 min

:flower:

Pray he stays that way lol!! My boy has been head down since 28 weeks (before that he was transverse). I feel very glad he's head down and can only hope he stays there x

My son was in the same position at my 19 week scan. She said he'll do lots of turning/rotating/ trying out new positions throughout the pregnancy. Its normal :) :hugs:
