Baby is meauring 8.3 cm at 13 weeks?? dosent make sence..

Thanks for all the responses wow. I was deffinitely told babe was measuring 8.3 cm crown to rump as this was a measurement scan, and looking at the chart I am sure I am further along as well, I dont see my OB until sept 20 so he will tell me more im sure, the tech just told me the measurements and when I was leaving she said moved you up 6 days , and I heard her tell the secretary what to write to the doc about the ultrasound and one of it was Anterior placenta but I looked that up all is good

i had my scan at 12 weeks on the dot. Baby mesured 5.4

I had a scan at 13+2 where baby measured 72mm which they said was 13+3. I have been told various versions by midwives but scans can be variable up to 7 days. One additional factor in my case is that my pg is IVF so my truly accurate date at that time was 12+5 but the midwives insist on going on LMP dates. So actually i was almost a week ahead of my actual date. X

I just wanted to mention that after 12 weeks ultrasounds are only accurate to +/- 7 days! So based on your measurement, your gestation and the accuracy of ultrasound everything sounds pretty normal to me.

Hey ladies,

I posted on here last week about bubs measuring 8.3 cm at 13 weeks and I was really put off by the numbers. After all the support on here and what other babies measured at same amount of weeks I decided I should get in for a doctors appointment as I was worrying something was wrong!! Anyways I had my doctors appointment this morning and he said nope evrything was fine so I said theres no way at 13 weeks and hes like no your were just about 14 weeks at the time of the scan I was really 13 weeks 5 days!! the tech just said 13 weeks though. I guess they leave it to the dr to figure out the days. So anyways that was on thursday.

So I am now corrected and I am as of today 14 weeks 3 days and this is final so yet again my due date has been changed. But at least I dont feel as if I am growing a hippo!!

Now.. that means im going to be heading over to 2nd tri and none of my other buddies who I thought I was same due date will be over there yet!! aghh

Maybe ill just stick around here for a little bit longer!!
