well i went into hospital at 11pm on thurs night as i thought my waters had broken and i was having pains every 5 mins well got to hospital and was examined to find out that nothing had happened at all and was sent back home to bed.
Well when i got home i was still getting the pains every 5 mins and while other half slept i paced the landing and was in and out the bath and i eventually woke him up at 4:30am and told him we needed to go back the hospital.
Got back to the hospital was examined again and was amazed to discover i was 6cm dilated and my waters hadn't broken so i was given gas and air had my waters popped after a few hours i needed pethidine as the pains were getting stronger. Once i reached 10cm dilated my contractions wore off a bit so i was given a drug to make them last longer by this point i was really struggling my pethidine had worn off and i wasn't able to have an epidural as i was to far gone and the gas and air had been taken off me and the consultant was called in as babies heart rate was dropping.
Consultant delivered our baby with the aid of forceps and an episiotomy at 14:57 on the 25/7/08. I had a 2nd degree cut which is stitched and painful
