So I go in for my induction at 6:30 am at only 2cm and 75% effaced. This was one day before my due date. At this point I was having no pains. At 7am they hooked me up to the IV (which they numbed me before sticking the IV needle in which was wonderful) and I started to cramp a little from the induction. A few hours later I was 3cm so the doctor broke my water (didn't hurt at all). After he broke my water they gave me the epideral which was a little painful from numbing needle and a little pressure (but not bad at all!!), and it kicked in right away which was beautiful lol, so pretty much hardly felt contraction pains. I forget what time it was but just a few hours later, I believe 10am they checked me again and I was 4-5cm so we figured it would not be long at all. I could not feel anything so did not know what was going on lol. At 12 they said they felt head right there but don't push til doctor got there.. just felt like I had to go #2 (sorry TMI) no pains at all.. so once doctor go there I pushed a few times (didn't feel a thing) and at 12:09pm she was born on Veterans Day (in U.S.) 11-11-2010 at 8 lbs 6oz, and 20 1/4inches long. My little Keira Michelle Sharp!!
