Baby Wearing

Hello Ladies!

I'm popping in here to seek some info on baby wearing. My LO is just not happy unless she is within arms reach or on me and as much as cuddles on the sofa is good I need to do stuff!! Would be ok to ask you guys some questions? We had a sling - she absolutely hated it, loves her tony active carieer but as she gets bigger it isn't so great. I think I would like to wear her on my back.

Can I wear a 12 week old on my back?
Which carrier would you recomend?
iHow long do you wear your baby during the day?
Are naps in the carrier a good idea?
Will she just sleep all the time in the carrier as she does now?
What do you do in the rain?

Sorry ladies so many questions but if i am to buy a new carrier it needs to work as most of my pay stops next week!!

mei tai (doesnt have to be babyhawk, have a look at kozys their lovely)

How long do you wear your baby during the day?
for as long as you want

Are naps in the carrier a good idea?
i never stopped aimee

Will she just sleep all the time in the carrier as she does now?
as she gets older she will get noseier and look around but will nap in it

What do you do in the rain?
get a brolly lol you can buy mei tais with hoods too

I think most carriers have advisories for back carrying. I know the connecta says 9months I think.

Emma is just a few weeks older than your baby and there is no way I could safely carry her on my back yet. Her legs don't spread enough yet to be able to straddle my back and be far enough down into the carrier. I'm looking forward to when she's able to though (and ditto to the other ladies replies for the other questions too!)
