I had an ultrasound yesterday and the u/s tech estimated my baby to weigh about 3 lbs 6 oz. Does that sound too big or is it just me? I thought at 30 weeks babies were usually just around 3 pounds, then hit the 3 pound mark around 31 weeks. I do has gestational diabetes, so I am 1000x more worried about his weight. I really don't want to have a large baby  I'm not taking this well at all.

I did ask my Dr though and she said it was perfectly healthy and he was in the 45 percentile for weight. But I don't know - seems big

Im not sure about the weight for sure, but according to my ticker it says my LO should be 3lbs at 29 weeks. And I believe, if I remember correctly, they gain about .5lbs each week from now on. So I wouldn't worry about it hun. Especially if your doctor isnt concerned. <3

this may help

My little one was 3lb10 at 28 weeks!!! Im dreading how big she is at my 32 week scan on Tuesday x

If his weight was in the 45th percentile then by definition he was was just below average, so I don't think you need to worry about him being too big.

My babe was 3 1/2lb at 30 weeks and 5.5lb at 33 weeks. On the printout she is dead bang in the middle of the chart :)

I had a scan last week at 28 +2 and LO was measured at approx 3lb 3oz and I don't have gd our ds was 8lb 4 when he was born 8 days late so I'm expecting this 1 to be about the same
Don't forget that measurements are only approximate too! Don't worry x

at 32 weeks my lo was 3lbs 12 oz's :) every baby varies and I too have GD
