I got a letter in the mail saying I needed to schedule Kenny's first dentist appointment when he's six months old. Is this just to get him adjusted to going? And being able to meet the dentist?

I figured he could start going when his teeth start growing in and I know he's teething but I don't know when his first tooth will show up! When do you plan or when did you take your LO to their first dentist appointment?

Thanks!

Zander is a year old now and has 12 teeth and Im just now thinking of taking him I didn't see the need to take him any sooner but was curious when I should start surely you don't need to until they hgave a few teeth

Interesting

I was actually at the dentist today and here (Canada) you don't bring them until one year old AND both two top + two bottom are out. Unless any black spots, he says that's a sign of decay usually caused by giving them juice or letting them go to bed with a bottle

we were told that at Bobbys 12 month jabs they have a dentist on hand to look at his teeth... so we don't need to schedule anything until after that

The whole family had an appointment a couple of weeks ago so I took Owen along then,he also has four teeth so she had a look just to see how they were growing.

I had a call from my dentist last week to say I need to schedule Holly's first appointment. I hope that by making it 'normal' from when she is tiny, she wont have the fear that I have of the dentist!

My LO's first dentist appointment was at 6 months. The dental nurse had a look at his gums and showed me how to brush his teeth. Other than that it was mostly information for me xx
