Hi all.

I've not been on here for quite some time but my partner and I have decided we'd like to try for another baby at some point Before we can do that, I need to try and sort out my cycles.

I've been on Cerazette for the last year but after a visit to the Dr a few days ago, she's advised me to stop taking it immediately. This is because my cycles are averaging 6 weeks. 4 weeks of nothing, 4-5 days of bleeding, no bleeding for 2-3 days then another week of bleeding (not much bleeding, but a steady amount).

So....I'm looking for advice on the best supplements to take to try and regulate my cycles. I started charting again a few weeks ago. My last period ended on 22nd January and I'm yet to ovulate. I've been using OPK's every day (sometimes twice a day) and nothing yet so really need my cycles to be more regular. My new BBT thermometer arrived a couple of days ago so I've been recording my temps on FF too.

What supplements would you suggest to try and get my hormones levels back to 'normal' and my ovaries to stop being so lazy ?

I'm 35 years old.

Thanks all and it's great to be back!

p.s. my ticker below says today is ovulation day but OPK's are stark white today.

Just from my experience I do not think it is odd that you haven't ovulated yet. It took me around 1-2 months to get my cycle back after stopping the same pill. So I would give it a couple more weeks!

My cycle is now regular. I am no expert on this though it is just my personal experience...

Good luck!

Aww, thanks lovely. That's good to know!

I randomly remembered the other day that when I was TTC#2 that I was taking Agnus Castus which seemed to reduce my cycle length quite a bit so I've ordered some tablets.

Thanks again and hopefully my cycles will sort themselves out soon! :)

I would definitely hold off on supplements or herbs until your body has had a chance to establish its own natural rhythms again. I quit bcp years ago and it took me 3 months before I was back to normal again (3 months of near constant spotting and mood swings). So I know I wasn't Oing during that time. I think there is the potential for more harm than good by introducing stuff to regulate your cycle before your body knows what its normal is

I agree with Belle. I would just try to be as healthy as possible for the next little bit and take a prenatal vitamin regularly and see what happens for the next few months. After that, I've found drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea until ovulation helps and lots of people swear by Vitex (which I think is the same thing as what you were taking last time). GL! Hope everything gets regulated soon

Thanks girls - sorry for the delay!

I've since found out that the pill I was prescribed wasn't what I thought it was. I was originally given one which meant I still ovulated and bled. The Dr changed my prescription but didn't tell me that the new pill stopped me ovulating completely! So now I know why I haven't ovulated yet!!

Just going to keep testing and see how my cycles go - hopefully into some kind of regular pattern (although when I was TTC#2 they varied between 32-56 days randomly).

Thanks again :)
