Back dating CTC and WTC?

Do they backdate working tax credit? If so do they just do it, or do you have to ask?

When we applied Josh was less than 3 months old so they automatically backdated it x

I'm pretty sure they backdate it to 3 months automatically.

b/d is 93 days and usually done automatically but can depend on your circumstances- for example, if you claim Income Support it may not automatically b/d as they will need to check with income support to see what they have paid
