Ok, I don't even know where to begin. So first thing we learned at the fertility specialist is we did have a miscarriage in the fall, he saw it right away in my records and wasn't sure why my family doctor wouldn't confirm that.
I do have PCOS, again wasn't sure why my own family doctor wouldn't confirm that. I do NOT ovulate well at all and that is most likely the reason we aren't getting pregnant. He is going to bring on a period with prometrium and then I will get testing done and have a follow-up in the next six weeks. I will be starting clomid with IUI after our follow up appointment in six weeks.
My husbands morph decreased from 4% to 3% on his latest SA after 3 months of every supplement in the book. His also numbers were around the same or slightly lower (total count: 202 million, 60% motility, 86% vitality) even though he abstained one extra day. The only thing that increased was volume which would be due to the extra day. Doctor said that means they are basically the same as their is natural fluctuation. He said the morph isn't as scary as the family doctor would make it sound. He just said it means we should do IUI three times before going to IVF, but that the kruger is only useful for determining if ICSI is necessary. If we do get to IVF, then we will do ICSI, but he is optimistic for IUI working since we had a sporadic pregnancy with a fluke ovulation.
I am now of the opinion that supplements are a complete waste of money as nothing on the SA changed, it stayed the same.
Also, he said my uterine septum may be a reason for the miscarriage and depending on my next ultrasound, he will consider removing it because what is the point in having another miscarriage and then blaming the lack of septum. I thought he was an excellent doctor, calm, and made us feel good at our first time at the clinic.
*On a side note, who the hell brings a baby to a fertility clinic waiting room lol. Yes, I realize you might have too, but its kinda weird! Ah well
