back pain?

my OH's gettin really bad back pain. it's like lower back sort of either side of his spine.

anyone know what it could be? it was originally just like a really bad ache, but tonight he says he's gettin stabbing type pains. and it wasnt cos he fell down the stairs last night lol!!!

Does he do any lifting??
Any bending??

You can hurt ya back picking something up off the floor, whetehr it be a full box or a pen.

Id give him some ibruprofen or paracetamol and send him to bed with a hot water bottle. If that doesnt work, doctors. They gave me some stretches to do when i hurt mine and they work wonders!!

he cantt hink of anythin he's done, he thought i'd been beating him in his sleep!! i've given him some ibuprofen and a back massage and some tiger balm and he says its feeling better. i'm just worried it could be something bad
