Hi everyone.
I have a balanced translocation between the 7 and the 11. I've had four pregnancies. Two of which miscarried due to being unbalanced. My two boys that I have are also balanced.
Does anyone have an translocation between these two numbers?
I'm so glad I found this site. I don't know of anyone else who has a translocation. It's nice to be able to share info and get more info on this.

Hey :-) I have a BT of 22-2, and it's broken in a very awkward position. I had 6mcs with an ex and was told to prepair myself for ivf with pgd in order to have a baby.
I got with my new partner and 9 months into the relationship found myself pregnant.i now have a 13 month old with no translocation at all, she was born with a complete normal set of chromosomes.
I m the only one in my family with a BT

That is wonderful!!! It's good that she doesn't have it so when she has kids she doesn't have to go through everything we with bt went through.
Both my boys do have the translocation but it is balanced. I was told they won't have as much trouble when trying to have kids. Boys have so many sperm that try for the egg and from what I learned the unbalanced sperm are not fast so they never make it up to the egg before all the balanced and normal sperm. For us girls, one egg comes out per cycle....could be normal, balanced or unbalanced.
I'm so glad to hear you have a little one!! It's def a tough road, but worth it when you look at them.
My first was a little girl, emma, who was unbalanced and did not survive. It was crushing but I do have an appreciation for my boys every time I look at them.
After reading different postings on this site I've learned that diff traslocations come w diff deformities when unbalanced. Something I didn't know before.
My daughter, Emma, was born without a large portion of her brain and a mass where her nose was.

:-( oh no. My geneticist has only seen 4 of my BT survive. 3 children We're mentally handicapped and 1 was physically deformed. The rest don't tend to survive past 12 weeks. I didn't him I'd ever get lucky.

Yeah it is really sad. Guess from what I'm reading it depends on which chromosomes are involved depends on the severity of the abnormality. For Emma, I was told she wasn't not going to live.....she died at 18 weeks gestation. I delivered her. Very, very sad day for us.

I'm really happy that you were able to have a piece of happiness after your loss.
