Well girls all i can say is if you ever get a swelling down stairs get yourself straight to the docs!

I had a swelling come up last Sat (not the one just gone) didn't go to the docs until Fri when it started to become painful. They told me it was a Bartholin cyst and to go get checked out at hospital.

I went and they said they usually do minior surgery and cut it open and drain it (tmi i know) but as i'm pregnant they don't really want to so gave me antibiotics. But they said if it gets any worse or more painful to go back.

WELL it has gotten more and more painfull to the point today i am in agony. I can't even walk properly now. The antibiotics have done naff all! So i went back today and they have said that i have to have the surgery now otherwise its not going to go.

I'm going back in tomorrow at 10.30am to have the operation in the afternoon.

Honestly anything comes up down there get yourselves to a doc no matter how embarrasing. I have a high pain thresh hold but this hurts and i can't cope any longer.

I suppose its one way of testing me for labour though ey lol xx

Thats weird,on Friday I had a lot of swelling and a HUGE lump down there...so I went to the emergency and they told me it was tissue bulging out from when I had an episiotomy with my first labor:shrug: (its better than it being the umbilical cord which they originally thought) and instead of cutting it open...they said I have to wait till it just..pops:nope: I wish I could just get it removed. Sorry youre going through all of this pain.and I hope you feel better soon!!:flower::flower:

Ouchies, that sounds really sore :( Hope it gets sorted hun.

Ouchie, hope it heals up soon after your surgery and you aren't in pain for much longer! :flow: xx

I feel your pain!!!!! I had one called a pilodonial or something like that cyst I couldn't walk barely sit down or lay comfortably it was too much to handle I was almost crying everyday and the doctor told me the same thing about the surgery and just gave me antibiotics and the next day it popped which was the most relief ever so you are not alone lol

Oh haven't had one of these since i had Amari, horrible little blighters arnt they :hugs:

When i had them, i avoided the docs like the plague, I had 3 or 4 sitz baths a day, rubbed lavender or tea tree on them and they burst themselves after 5 days-ish, honestly the relieve was immense! hope yours is sorted soon x x x

I have heard about the baths but it doesn't help i've only got a shower. I've spent most of my time sat on a hot water bottle. I've had it 10 days now :( the last 4 where i've had pain xx
