BBT higher than coverline for 18 days.....

Okay so I am pretty new to the BBT charting thing. I am currently on my second cycle. Last cycle I had a 27day cycle and a 12 day LP, so I didn't have to worry about the 18 days above coverline ordeal. I have read that if you have temps that are higher than your coverline for 18 days or higher then you are probably pregnant. Before I was on BC (I have been off since August) my periods were extremely irregular. I am currently on CD 32 with no sign of AF and my temps are still high (with ONE day exception where it dipped at 5 dpo and came right back up). I was just wondering if anyone knew if you were to have a longer cycle if that 18 days still applied?? For instance, if my cycle this cycle would happen to be 35 days, but at 33 days I officially had 18 days of temps above coverline, would my temps stay up because my cycle isn't over yet, or would they still have gone down by now?? I wasn't sure how it all worked and although I have been getting BFNs (even at 17 dpo) the temps being above have gotten my hopes up.. I'm just hoping my AF isn't playing with me and doing an extra long cycle hah. If anyone knows about this I would greatly appreciate some insight!

In general your LP doesn't vary by much. If you have a 35 or 28 day cycle ur LP will be about the same, all the variation come from the follicular phase. 18 days of elevated temps according to the theory means you're likely pregnant -or- alternately miss dated ovulation and are not actually 18dpo... Hope that helps

Did you use opk or just bbt? It is possible that if you just use bbt that you ovulated later then you thought??

I am using FertilityFriend and thats what told me when I ovulated. I used OPKs but they were positive a couple days after FF says I ovulated so it kept telling me on FF that I did not ovulate so I just deleted all of the OPK's off of it, then with just the temps it told me on CD 14 I ovulated. Husband is running in town now to go get me some tests again.. we are going away for a couple days to a cabin with some friends so I really wanted to test again before we left (otherwise they have all been negative). I would have a positive by now if I was pregnant right? According to FF I would be 18 dpo, and even if it was a couple days later than I thought it still would be after 10-12 dpo at the very earliest. (Oh and today's temp when I put it in completely took off my ovulation date and coverline? It was still above coverline but for some reason it said they had to re-interpret it and it took it all off?) I am so confused hahah!

Fertility Friend is a nightmare!

I am using Ovusoft and myfertilitychart as FF was saying I ovulated CD8 - two days after taking clomid, which isn't likely.

Ughh I need to try a new one.. Because my temps are staying high (today I officially have 18 high temps) it is saying I didn't ovulate and now its got me wondering.. But I am pretty sure I did and there is a clear temp jump at cd 14.. So confusing! I am about to just stop doing all of it and just go with how my body feels. But I want something to be able to show the doctor if I need to go. If I do not get AF by friday I am going to call and make an appointment. Today is cd33 .. Longest cycle I have had and I don't feel AF coming at all.. And of course another BFN this morning

There's my chart for FF.. It had it that I ovulated on CD 14 and my coverline was 98.3, but after I put in my 3rd to last temp it said that it redid it and that I did not ovulate? But there is a clear jump on CD 14 so I don't know what to think? My husband told me he wants me to make an appointment, and even if I am not pregnant to just see whats going on and pray i'm not going back to my irregular cycles from 3 years ago.

I also tried using the Ovusoft software as well and it has the exact same timing as FF on this chart soo.. i don't know ! hah

Not to butt in here but... you have some serious spikes on your chart. Are you temping at the same time every morning after 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep? Going by your chart it does not look like you are... You have to do that for FF to interpret your chart correctly.

I wake up at 8am every morning and temp.. (it says 6am on FF but thats not right) I will admitt some days it is a little earlier/later but it doesn't vary more than a hour. I do get more than 4 hours of sleep every night before that though
