BCP Aftermath :( Help!

I was on BCP for 7 years...went off in 3/2013 and did not get a period until 12/2015...I had normal periods while on and prior to BCP. I went to the dr. and fertility specialist. Did the progesterone challenge and did not have withdrawal bleeding. They tested hormone levels. All was normal except estrogen and my uterine lining was thin...which they believed was the reason for no period and said BCP was to blame. I did estrogen patches and it helped my lining tremendously. I did an internal ultrasound on 12/15 and my dr. said it looked like I had not ovulated. She then told me that I would have to use gonadotropins to get pregnant. At the time, we were not TTC, just wanted a period. I ended up getting a period on my own on 12/20. Since then, I have had periods on 12/20, 1/14, (skip Feb), 3/1, and 4/26. We are now TTC on our own to see if we can before any treatment since we never tried prior. Anyone else experience this after BCP? Were you able to conceive on your own?

I'm sorry, I did not experience this but I didn't want to read and dash. I was on BCP for 10 years, my cycles are back pretty regular, less heavy though. I hear it can take some time before everything goes back to normal, some women take months and months.... I know that's not what you want to hear and I know it's not all that helpful.... I just hope you can get answers soon and that you do go back to a regular flow (or get pregnant of course!)

Have you tried using Vitex? I went off BCP in June 2014 and didn't have a period for 6 months, then spotting every now and then and didn't get a regular period until after taking Vitex for a few months. BCP's can really screw up your body I've realized and I never had issues with it before or on the pill either, I took it for about 14 years. My cycles are just now showing signs of regulating but they're about 32-34 days.
