So my sister wanted to feel baby today, so i said 'if you gently glide your hand you can feel where baby is' and as she did so she couldn't feel it, so i said, just apply a little more pressure....she applied ALOT of pressure, so when she did go over baby i felt the baby shoot across my stomach, and it made me feel awful.

Now im wondering if this would slightly harm the baby? ive felt it kick since which has been a relief but i felt like i wanted to cry like she'd hurt my child, am i over worrying? she didn't mean to do any harm!

Ah no, baby is very well protected, prob just caught you or baby at a funny angle which made baby squirm xxxx

haha bless u i prode and poke ALL the time n baby is completely fine i even lay on my tummy sumtimes as its cumfy lol

:hugs: don't worry if you've felt baby move since then you're fine! Our babies are very well protected in there, and you wouldn't have done any harm. My little niece walloped me one in the stomach the other day by accident, and I felt exactly like you did too. I wanted to cry for about 3 or 4 hours afterwards lol. Baby's been moving more than enough and we're going to see him/her again on Thursday :happydance: I can't wait!!

Try not to worry, I know that's easier said than done but you won't have done any harm :hugs: x x

thank you all :hugs: i guess thats 'mothers instinct' kicking in eh? :) xxxx

No no baby is most probably fine. Also baby's don't have pain threshold this early the pain and their brain arent linked yet, I only found this out because I had to have a needle through my stomach into the baby's chest to ahve some fluid drained and she didnt even notice/move. The midwife said the pain threshold isnt linked yet. xxx

thanks hun, just kept playing on my mind if being shoved across my bloody womb had upset/hurt/effected it in anyway! :( can't help being such a paranoid sod lol!

I think its very normal to worry hun, I worry about everything lol xxx

Aw :hugs: I'm sure your little bean is just fine in there. Like PPs said, there's so much cushion surrounding your little one, I bet everything is a ok. :)

You're baby should be just fine. they are much more protected inthere than you'd think I actually tripped and fell on my belly (with my 1st pregnancy) when i was about 32 weeks and dr's were not even worried they only checked things out because i insisted but everything was fine.

thanks guys :) movements have been slightly less, but still, bubs is moving so thats a good sign i think, right? x

I'm sure your baby is fine. I went to the consultant the other day and he was really squishing about showing the student doctor how to find the baby's head, all i could feel was baby manically wriggling about trying to escape the weird pushy feeling :haha: He was pushing hard enough that i was finding it uncomfortable, i figure if a doctor will do that then it must not harm the baby ;)

Last time i found after a while the movements settled to a pattern, and i could tell when he was asleep, as he'd barely move for hours at a time. Also maybe baby is hiding out way back, where you can't fell the movements so much. If you are still feeling some movement, then relax and try not to worry, there is loads of protection in there! :hugs:
