Got admitted to the hospital after a mw appointment yesterday and today they decided I will be induced. I have asked them if we can start the process in the morning instead of tonight as I want a good kip beforehand lol
Fingers crossed all goes well and I will have had my little man by this time 2morro (perhaps wishful thinking as I know induction can be a long process!) Xxx
8.50am - (1-8-11) 1st tablet was inserted and I now have to lie still for 2 hours (8.51am realized I need to wee and will have 2 wait until 11)
9.40am - got a visit from the lactation consultant, she will come and express some colostrum shortly just incase there are any problems breast feeding after delivery. She has told me epidurals and pethadine affect the babys suckling. She says I'm better ff t have an epidural rather than pethadine though.
5.25pm - had my cervix checked and I'm only 1cm! Bugger! Had a sweep and second tablet inserted! Already in pain! Hope this carries on!
12midnight- (2-8-11) couldn't lie down in bed it was so uncomfortable! Had so much pressure it felt like my hips where breaking! I went up and down the hosp. Stairs and bounced on my ball. The nurse gave me two co-codamol and at about 3am I finally got some sleep!
7.25am - 3rd tablet inserted and still only 1cm!!!
11.45am - dr has just informed me that they will rest me for the rest of the day and then start on the tablets again tomorrow, I'm not in pain anymore but I am loosing a lot of plug, which can only be a good thing I guess!
9am (3.8.11) - 4th tablet has been put in and I'm now at 2cm!!! Wahoooo!
5pm - 5th tablet inserted, had a sweep and stretch she said was at a bit further than 2cm but not quite 3
I'm going 2 keep updating this post so I have everything written down for later on lol
