bellybutton ring?

I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on what I should do with my bellybutton ring. I am currently 15 weeks and not much of a bump yet since it is my first pregnancy, but when I do start getting bigger should I take the ring out and if so when? Would you suggest getting a pregnancy ring or just leaving it open? I got the piercing in Sept and dont really want it to close. Thanks for the help.

Id deff take it out soon, mine started going really sore at around 16 weeks when the skin was stretching!!

You could always buy a maternity ring (Ive heard they hurt!!) or take it out, and pop the bar through it every few days to keep the hole open xx

i took mine out around this time because other girls i knew who had already had babies and had their belly button pierced advised me not to wait until i was big,but to take it out before i got big..
so i did..i decided not to use a maternity bar but thats each to their own..
mine has gone quite nasty stil
like all brown and looks abit scar-ed but im hoping itl go down after the babys outand also hoping my hole wil still be open lol xx

you can get a maternity bar if you don't want it to close up
they just plastic instead of metal

I took mine out around 15 weeks, then started putting it through once a week so it wouldn't close over.
Now though there is no chance of me being able to put it through, and it's got a little scar where it was, so I'm glad I took it out when I did.

You can always get a maternity bar if you wanted.

I took mine out around 16 weeks (when my bump first started to make an appearance) and put a maternity ring in.

I think it's best to do it before you've got a real bump, mine hasn't hurt at all

I am 23.5 weeks and i still have my normal belly ring in it hasn't hurt at all so far. The top of my belly button is starting to pop out though so I'm going to put a maternity ring in soon.

I took mine out at like 14 weeks so it could close and wouldn't scar as bad.. I figured I'd go get it re done when my belly is back to normal.

my ultrasound tech told me i HAD to take mine out for my 20 week scan. so i took it out at 19 weeks even when i had a bump. i decided not to leave it open though cause i'm afraid i'll have saggy skin.

I took mine out at about 15 weeks... I woke up one morning and it felt really dodgy and tight, I actually thought it was infected and went to the docs. He said it wasn't and my skin was just too tight around it. I did get a maternity bar, but they're so BIG.... it just kept getting caught on things and it was painful when I put it through, the top of it feels quite sharp. Just took it out and let it do it's thing.

I had it pierced twice, top and bottom and I have stretchmarks over the scar tissue though. Not HUGE ones, but noticeable red ones.

i'd say get a maternity bar - but get one you like, cause they're not very nice to put in and take out - so it'd probably be best to keep the same one in, they're big so that when your tum grows, they have room to like bend and stuff

i had mine peirced, but didn't get a maternity bar and i've got all scarring around mine.. although it's not too bad..

but if it starts to hurt - i'd say go and speak to someone in a piercing place.. like if it really stings or something - and clean it out regularly..

i had a maternity bar around two weeks ago, and its finee
ok, it is a little uncomfortable to push through but seriously nothing bad! if your going to go through child birth then this is nothing its over with in seconds and worth it to keep your piercing, its like a little scratch
reaaaaally comfy after to wear i don't know its there, i didn't want to take mine out as i've seen the mess the piercing can get in after and id hate it to close up.. mind you i do have a little stretch mark by it now

I took mine put at about 20 weeks.
and then two days after I had Lyrik I put it back it and it fit in.
But I also had mine done for years before I took it out at 20 weeks.
I got a gross scar though from it stretching. but it looks okay since I have had her.
