This is a bit late, but the first time I've been on the computer since we got home. This is long, since I seem to ramble a lot :haha:

On December 2nd I was induced at 4 pm. I was only 2 cm which I had been for 2 or 3 weeks so they inserted gel beside my cervix (instead of the drip) and I felt pain only a minute after. The nurse had told me that you can be in pain for an hour because it causes strong contractions but then they go away, so I had to be monitored for an hour at the hospital. I kept having really intense pains, but the nurse had convinced me that they weren't real contractions. I was sent home at 5:30 and was told to come back at 9 am on the 3rd and if I hadn't made any progress by then, then they would do another round of gel.

Well, the pains only continued :dohh: We stopped on the way home to get some soup for me to eat then we came home and planned to relax and watch a movie. When I got home I couldn't even stand straight the pains were so strong but since the nurse had convinced me they weren't contractions I thought I was just a wuss :haha:

OH and I watched tv for a bit and around 9pm he decided he better start timing the pains, and they were 2-4 minutes apart, for half an hour. My mom could tell how painful it was, so she called the hospital to ask when I should go back and they said when they were 2-4 minutes apart for 2-3 hours or when I needed pain medication. She made the decision that OH and I would go right then though lol.

On the way to the hospital we hit two ride programs with police questioning everything, while I was having contractions both times :dohh: We got there and I got checked and was only 3-4 cm, but after she had checked LO's heart rate dropped super low, and before I knew it they had ripped off my clothes and there were a bunch of nurses in there hooking me up to a bunch of machines. By this time I was really wanting pain meds so I was admitted, switched to a birthing suite and was given a shot of morphine - which did absolutely nothing for the pain.

Before I knew it I was screaming in pain and yelling at the nurse that I wanted an epidural NOW and I didn't care what it took :haha: She paged for the doctor to do it but he was busy and would take another 20-30 minutes to get there. I started to feel pressure in my lower back/bum and knew that I was getting close but didn't want to say anything to the nurse because I wanted the epidural. Eventually, after me screaming constantly and yelling at the laughing nurses in the hall to shut up :dohh: My nurse told me she better check to see how dilated I was but I kept yelling 'no I need the epidural!!'

She checked and I was 9 almost 10 cm. I went from 3-4 cm to 10 cm in only 30 minutes. Next thing I knew she told me to put my legs up and push and all I could think was how I needed my mom and sister there haha. They got there in the middle of pushing (not sure how long I pushed for). LO's head was stuck halfway out for 18 minutes, his heart rate was dropping and they couldn't find a doctor to deliver me. I was given gas because I was freaking out. I thought it'd help the pain but it made me totally loopy instead.

At 12:48 am on December 3rd Benjamin was born weighing 8lb 1oz and 22in long, 11 days overdue. He is absolutely amazing and I am so in love. We got home last Wednesday night. Of course I got sick on Friday and have been sick since :dohh: Been to the clinic and they say nothing is wrong though, so hoping he doesn't get sick.

Other than being sick I got a lot of stitches (I tore once into where I pee from - which is extremely painful to pee) and was cut twice. Now I have a bump on my bum, right near my vagina but off to the side, which I think is an abscess and is HORRIBLE pain. I can't sit properly, or walk or stand or do anything without being in pain. Going to ask the doctor to look when I go back on Friday - but it is sooo not fun.

Anyways, there's my ramble of a birth story :haha: I'll post pictures of Ben when I get some loaded finally. He looks EXACTLY like his daddy, someone asked me if I was sure he was even mine :haha:
