Just what the title says, what's your favorite carrier? I'm kinda thinking about bjorn or ergo, pros/cons? Other carriers you like?

Def not bjorn and similar carriers. They aren't good for babies spine/hip development not parents back. Babies also shouldn't be worn facing out do I'd avoid any carriers that advertise this as a feature.

A stretchy wrap such as Moby is brilliant for for few months. Much easier to use than it looks and babies love them (well my LO tends to kick off for 30seconds when I put her in but then chills out).

Then a soft structured carrier (SSC), a Mei Tai, or woven wrap.

SSC - good makes are boba 3G, manduca, ergo, etc

Mei Tai - rose and rebellion and others. I'd avoid cheap eBay ones though although some people like them.

Woven - I don't know much about these.

If possible go to a sling library/meet. Some will do postal if you don't live near one.

Benefit of SSC - ease of use, quick to put on/take off but need to readjust straps between wears. With Mei tai - still relatively easy to put on. Straps don't need adjusting.

Others to look at Connecta.

I would avoid bb and similar.

Carriers and wraps are such personal things it's hard to suggest.

For example, I hate boba's. Not comfy at all and really not ideal for petite people (more so the broadness of your shoulders reakky). I tried one and it was ginourmous, mega uncomfy and a faff.

But I love wompats.

Woven wise it depends again. Some brands and blends I like, others not so much.

Hi I initially used a baba sling baby loved it I didn't hurt my shoulder in the end then I got wraps didn't like as t first then got used too it but now I have a boba 3 g and I love love love it really comfy for me no back ache etc I loved the ergo too but ended up buying a counterfeit which is easy done with ergos but I lick the buckle type carrier rather than tie just personal preference.

i love the tula for front carries and beco gemini for back carries

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Didymos Eva! (Don't be jealous that I have one now, fellow babywearers hehe)

It's a woven wrap. YES they can be a little more "fiddly" but I find it MUCH better for my back, neck and shoulders than my SSC (I have an Ergo) as baby is literally strapped to my chest rather than hanging off my shoulders and waist.

Bjorn kind of sucks past 2 months old, bad for your back!

If you can't stand the thought of tying a wrap, get an Ergo or Manduca? If not, get a size 6-ish woven, OR a hug-a-bub stretchy to start you off and work from there.

Babywearing is the shizz, y'all.
