I was gonna post this in 2nd tri but figured you guys would be using these already so ..... hi :flower:

I am def going for an electric steriliser this time but......which one is better??

Avent or Tommee Tippee??

I prefer the look of the avent steriliser but the tommee tippee bottles :dohh:

So I really can't decide!!

xxx

O have Ai Nan baby steam sterilizer. It's not expensive, & the best thing about it, u can use it for any bottles even the TT CTN big bottles.

I use the Tommee Tippee steam steriliser. Had no probs with it & bought it upon reccomendations from friends.

I've not seen the Avent one so can't comment on that I'm afraid. X

The TT one which has the curved top is awkward as you cant fit it under your kitchen cupboard and use it it has to be pulled out, may not bother some people but I dont like things looking messy  and I def wouldn't recommend the TT bottles, you cant see the numbers which drives me mad especially in the middle of the night.

loooooooool , and I thought I was the only one who couldnt c he numbers

I didnt like TT bottles at all, neither did LO. And taking the numbers off the bottles - whos bright idea was that ?!

As for sterilisers I've got a TT one, its fine does its job x

we used the tt and found it very good never had a problem with it easy to use and keeps the bottles sterilised for 3 hours after they have been sterilised just go with whatever you think is best, they are all good xx

I use the TT steam one & have had no problems with it, I do agree that the bottles you cant see the numbers though

the avent iq 24 keeps thins sterile for 24 hours, and baby might not like a certain bottle anyway - either wazy the avent has loads of space

I have the tommee tippee one and its fine, no problems at all

You ladies say you can't see the numbers on the tt bottles? But I've bought dome tt bottles and can see the numbers lol xox

The small starter bottles are crap and you cant see the numbers - they are only 5oz bottles. Once you get the bottles which take up to 9oz the numbers are very clear. My LO quickly needed more than 5oz so was glad to stop using them to be honest!

I have TT steam/microwave steriliser and am very happy with it. £10 in Tesco/Asda.

I bought TT newborn starter kit (£5 at end of the Asda baby event - everything was half-price!) contained 2 wee bottles and 2 big bottles, slow and medium flow teats and a dummy - bottles very clear black numbering on them though.

I have got a tt one, but I have had a replacement base unit cos mine broke, TT CTN bottles now have black writting on them, but I have got some without the black writting. I Agree with Sb22 my lo has changed bottles so many time a really fussy feeder having a battle right now!!

Thanks for your advice girls, I want with the TT Steam steriliser in the end, I can see what you mean about the numbers (it comes with 2 little bottles and I took them out to have a look!) but I don't think it will be much of a problem!

I had the TT steam steriliser and I loved it. I paid £58 for mine cos it came with bottles and teats, dummies, bottle holders and other stuff.
I also had the TT microwave one and that was brilliant too.
I used them both at the same time.

My sister had avent and I did like that too although I dont like the avent bottles because they leaked a lot.

TT and Avent also take other bottles in their sterilisers. I have TT, tesco, nuk, mothercare, sainsburys and boots own bottles (girls were prem so were told to have a range of bottles because they would like all different ones)

Love the TT though and would deffo use it again xx

I've got the TT and love it. Got it recommended by friends and again recommended it to other friends of mine.

well recently gone back to liquid steriliser cos now sterilising tubs, bowls and spoons finding it much easier
