Best toddler friendly vacations? (North America)

Preferably off the east coast?

Can anyone share what would be an ideal vacation with a toddler, 12-16 months? We're planning and would love some ideas.

Do you think a hotel, RV, or even cruise would be better choices? I have a pretty fussy baby, he won't sleep anywhere but his own bed, so I need to do a bit more planning around this.

Does anyone have cruise experience with a toddler?

I was looking at cruises. The Disney cruise looks the best, but it's pricey. I also was looking at a resort in Florida on the ocean. Again, pricey.

Also, when we travel, we don't bother with the pack n play. My LO won't sleep in it anymore. She has a toddler air matress now and loves it.
