I'm looking at buying Niamh a big present that she'll use for awhile, as she doesn't have many toys. Probably up to £100. I was looking at the rainforest jumperoo, but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?

I like the Evenflo Exersaucer. It converts to a toddler table once they outgrown the saucer.

yeah the exersaucer is great, not sure if they have those there though? tbh Hannah has always played with her exersaucer more than her jumperoo.....and now that she's trying to pull up on things and crawling she will try to pull up on the exersaucer and plays with the toys from the outside

Wasn't there a recall for the Evenflo exersaucer?

Seems like the jumperoo is quite the hit with alot of babies on here. I'm in the same boat, would like to get something really fun for Claire. I was thinking along the lines of an Exersaucer as well... maybe the Baby Einstien one?

For Kathryn it's the rainforest jumperoo, but that's because she LOVES to jump! Even when she's just standing in my lap she's jumping. She does also really like the graco rainforest walker we just got too (https://www.target.com/Graco-Mobile...&frombrowse=0&index=target&rh=k:walker&page=1), I would have got an exersaucer instead, but the walker at least folds, we have no room for a jumperoo and exersaucer. (jumperoo does break apart for storage, but it's be such a pain to have to set it up every time to use it). Kathryn's other fav toy (not activity center type thing) is this inflatable penguin thing (push it and it wobbles back up and plays music), she just goes nuts over it! https://www.target.com/Fisher-Price...rget&field-browse=1038620&rh=k:penguin&page=1

The jumperoo is cool, but since he has been crawling a lot and trying to walk, we hardly put him in it so he really only used it for a few months. Also they say no longer than 20 minutes per day as it can build their legs muscles up too quickly without building their upper body.

The best toy at the moment is his Fischer Price Walker / Wagon. He absolutely loves it and pushes it all around the house. Has even learnt to turn it now. What is great is that later on I can just change it to the wagon and he can pull his toys around.

His cousin who is almost four, loves playing with it when he comes to visit so I should get some good milage out of it.

i have the jumperoo hun, annabelle loves it. we are roughly at same stage as you so i dont know of much else. i havent got room in my house for a baby walker so we wont be having one of those. ill be coming back to see what everyone suggests

I don't rate the Jumperoo.. It's alright, but she'd rather play with her plastic Vtech books :dohh:

another jumperoo fan over here! though maddi adores her round me go! this was a huge success. https://www.mothercare.com/Bright-S...ng=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=192797031&mcb=core

I prefer my Activity Station to the Jumperoo (she says as Caitlyn watches Mickey Mouse in the Jumperoo) I find it alot easier to interact with her (playing songs with the piano etc) on the activity station x

Carly just posted the link!

daisy had the baby einstein exersaucer an she loved it!

there are so many different types of these exersaucers tho, i would say they are smaller than the jumeroo, ive looked at this in mothercare and it seems huge!

Are those the babywalkers with the wheels that the baby sits in? They're illegal here. Too many idiotic parents who thought that it served as a babysitter and the babies were falling down sets of stairs in them. I don't think it was the babywalker that was the problem, more the parents!

Nothing can replace adult supervision, you know?

katie's got a graco thing, i think its like th exersaucer

https://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-2026.aspx

mil got it us off ebay, the shop was somethin like online4kids. think it was about £30 off there.

you cab make it steady or it rocks, its fab!! katie keeps banging her head on the clear ball cos she doest realise theres plastic there!

it goes to 3 heights, atm katie has to have a cushion to stand on cos she's a bit little and she's got really long legs, but its amazing!

Thanks girls! Some great ideas here.

I thought about a jumperoo because she loves to stand up and jump and kick her legs.

I could maybe look at an exersaucer and a door bouncer, rather than an all in one toy.

Hannah likes her Jumperoo okay but she plays more with her exersaucer than the jumperoo. She's always loved her exersaucer though

The regular on is okay but the one that turns into a table is not !

Evenflo Triple Fun Exersaucers
Feb. 17, 2009 - Evenflo has recalled more than 200,000 Exersaucer Triple Fun activity centers because, when it is used as an activity table, the cap on one end can fall off, posing a fall hazard. Ten injuries have been reported. Only Exersaucer Triple Fun activity centers made between Oct. 2006 and Dec. 2008, with model number 6231711, are recalled. Stop using the item as a Stage 3 activity table (it can still be used in Stages 1 & 2) and call 800-233-5921 or visit exersaucertriplefun.com to get a replacement end cap.

thats excellent idea sweetie, we have a door bouncer too and its fab :D

we've got a door bouncer too, but katie just turns round and round, she doesnt bounce! we got ours off ebay and it was only about 15 quid and in perfect condition (it did come covered in sick, but it went in the washer)
