So ive been started on a low dose of beta blockers (metoprolol 12.5mg twice a day) for my POTS syndrome.
I was excited to try something as my Condition has really flared since being pregnant.. some days i was unable to stand. My pulse was consistently 95 sitting and 130-170 standing. I had brain fog, breathlessness.. all those lovely symptoms..
Well i still have all those symotoms.. the beta blocker hasnt helped at all and in fact has made things like my fatigue and brain fog worse.. the brain fog is much much worse.. i can barely see straight..
I see my dr again in 1 week but im wondering if anyone else has had these adverse symptoms from a beta blocker? It was meant to lower my heart rate but really hasnt.. im so over this
