    Hi Guys!
I need your help. I haven't been on this forum in a longggg while. First got on here with the birth of my firstborn-she's now 8! Anyway, I was hoping to get some opinions and some help for my dear sister. She is breastfeeding (her son is 7 months old). She just called me in tears because she said she heard his little tummy growling. Her production is lowering and he isn't getting the amount he normally does. Which wouldn't be as scary if he took a bottle and she could make sure he was fed and hydrated. But he won't take a bottle (which most of our bf babies don't). I told her try spoon feeding him try a nipple shield to get him acquainted with something that is not her nipple. She is very worried. So I want to know 1.How do we get him acquainted with a bottle nipple and 2. Has anyone specifically gone through this? What did you do? Thanks so much ladies for your guidance <3

This has happened to me twice, the first time I was pregnant and I didn't know. I just increased is meal intake and fed extra snacks plus I tried 20 different sippy cups until I found one he'd take (he refused bottles) asked his doctor if I could start whole milk because my supply was dipping and she said yes I started with an ounce to see how he tolerated it then increased from there. He did not gain a quickly anymore but he wasn't hungry and was well hydrated and meeting all milestones so doc was ok with it. The sippy that ended up working was the 360 cup
