BFN 12dpo, feeling blue :-(

I was so sure this was my month - boobs in agony, lots of creamy cm, some sporadic cramping that I don't usually get, extra thirsty and hungry. But surely I'd be testing positive on a 15miu test by now?! I've spent all day every day obsessing over these symptoms and probably all for nothing. Feeling so stupid and down right now. Sorry girls, just needed a rant. Might use my last frer in a few hours just to put me out of my misery - it's apparently 98% accurate 2 days before AF.

DWM - your only 12DPO which is still early so dont lose hope!

The higher the miu means that you have to have a higher amount of miu in your body for it to pick up. As your testing earlier than when AF is due I would say to either get some 10miu's or wait until AF is late

A lot of the FRER's are about 20-25miu's

I got a BFN at 12 dpo too. I'm so frustrated. My period is not due till this Sunday but I've been spotting all week AND having cramps.

I got a BFN on 12 and 13 dpo...it wasn't until 14 dpo (day AF was due) that I got my BFP. I thought for sure I was out by 14dpo because I felt like if it was going to be positive it would have showed at 13 dpo but I was sure enough wrong when the line appeared at 14 dpo and just to make sure I tested the following 2 days too lol. Thanks for your replies ladies. I just feel silly that I've let it completely take over my life this cycle, and had felt so sure I was pregnant. I guess I still might be - will keep testing. Think I'll be pretty crushed if the witch gets me this month. Might start temping if she does

I may be having the first symptoms of af now (emotional, cervix is low and soft, weird uterine feelings starting to get more familiar...) so now that I am out of frers I think I will try to not buy any unless af doesn't show by Monday. For me I am trying to stay positive knowing that bfn this month will let me have more options for the holidays as far as what I consume and that will be nice, even if it is a stupid condolence prize.

My DH is going to leave me if I don't stop obsessing anyway. At least he knew the status of my cervix so he must not tune it all out LOL

and like you say, if AF comes, at least you can have a little drink over xmas period - see, always a positive

I'm severely tempted to have a nice cold glass of wine right now. Maybe one wouldn't hurt... And it might be my last chance for, like, a year if all goes well! But then again I'd feel so guilty if I did turn out to be pregnant and anything bad happened to the baby.
Oh well, glass of diluting juice and a good book it is then

How do you know your out this month? Have you got AF?

Im 14DPO and in limbo - waiting for either a BFP or AF to come

I don't have anymore Pregnancy Tests. And can't really afford anymore this week.

But of course I'm still holding onto a LITTLE bit of hope.

It could just be that your body hasnt made enough miu to be detected yet - not all people can get a BFN early - the average is around 15-17DPO, so your not out until AF shows

It can be expensive, I got some OPK's, IC, folic acid, iron and vit C tablets and some proper POAS tests for when (if) I ever get a faint line

The best thing to do is not get stressed about it, dont symptom spot, just chill as you dont have the money to get more tests there is no point do anything but wait - by the time you have some more money AF will be due and if she doesnt, then get some more tests.

What type of test was it because you can get IC which are 10miu but from what i read POAS types like clearblue average about 25miu.


the lower (or higher, depends how you look at it) are the better ones. 10miu IC's have a better chance of detecting the smallest amount of miu in your body.

Well I ended up going out for a meal with my OH and had a lovely evening. Feel so much better now I've taken some time to relax. I did have a glass of wine but washing it down with lots of water. Hopefully we all wake up to bright shiny BFPs tomorrow!

I just looked it up and as I had a feeling, first response is 25miu

10 mIU - High sensitivity
25 mIU - Normal sensitivity
Essentially the higher the sensitivity the earlier you will detect your pregnancy

you need to get one with 10miu - have you tried ic's?

My AF is due today and i caved this morning and tested

my eyes are going blurry now looking for a faint line - hard to explain but it looks like i pinched the top of the strip (just where the test line is) with my nails

I can see something on your test but it might just be an indent so I can't really tell. Do another one tomorrow - good luck!
