BFN after ERPC?

Hiya, I was just wondering how long approximately can I expect a BFN after having an ERPC at 12 weeks?

I tested yesterday & it looked lighter, but I tested again today & it looks darker. Could be my pee, so I'm not going to worry just yet, I'll test again in a few days.

I had only the lightest of pink bleeding/spotting after the ERPC & now 2 days on, nothing at all. Just slightly concerned I may have retained something & my bodys clammed up again, hence me testing.

I just wondered how long it normally takes for the hormones to go completely & how long I should leave it before asking my doctor for betas.

I had in my mind a deadline of 2 weeks, will that be long enough you think?

I had an ERPC at 13 weeks, although the baby had died at 7 weeks 2 days so it may vary for you. I was showing strong dark positives for at least 3 or 4 days afterwards, then they gradually got fainter and fainter. After 2 weeks, I was testing negative on a CB digi and my lines were barely visible at 10 days after, although they were possibly evaps.

If the line was lighter before, I think you're probably fine. Maybe your pee wasn't as concentrated when you got the lighter line. I find that my pee is more concentrated in the morning if I'm not absolutely busting. If I wake up at 3am and know I'm going to be testing in the morning and hold it until I get up, I find that my pee looks less concentrated.

One thing I have noticed since my ERPC, since I've tested around the time my period is due, I'm always getting evaps now. I don't think I have any remains left over as I had my ERPC back in December and have had 2 normal-ish periods since x

weird aint it, cos after my dnc i tested the day after and got a very very clear

Mine took just around 2wks, I had a mmc in november at 12wks but baby had died around 7wks. I didn't really have much bleeding after the procedure, just light spotting really for a few days.

I didn't get my first a/f til January... that was a long wait!

I'd say as long as the line is lighter then nothing to worry about, i'm sure mines were negative at night but positive in the morning for quite a whiley.... i was an obsessive POAS(er) for the whole time... actaully i still am but for the opposite reason now.

Good luck and i hope you get the BFN soon so you can at least start to think about trying again.

I got BFN almost immediately after D&C, having had MMC (11-12 weeks. LO @8). It sounds like we all vary so much. Bloody mind boggling sometimes trying to work it all out isn't it girls. I give up - just dtd until get lucky again!!!!!

I had my EPRC Wednesday, have just poas (!) and the line is still there, but getting fainter. I'm presuming it is going to continue to go down. Better do. I SO do not want to be in the 5% of people that have to have the surgery AGAIN! The first time was bad enough! (This is a statistic that the surgeon gave me... I felt like saying, that's not something to boast about!!)

My bleeding went for 2 WHOLE DAYS... now, it's decided to resume itself. grrr. very light, but still there. I want to get on with the BD... not necessarily for making babies, just very frustrated!! (sorry if TMI, needed to vent!)

hi, i had an erpc 5 and a half weeks ago following a missed mc at my 12 week scan, it took 3 and a half weeks for me to get a bfn and i have just had af xxx

Hmm, I guess it will take as long as it likes then, seems we are all different!

I've started to bleed & cramp now (after thinking I got off lightly, lol!) so I'll take that as a good sign my womb is clearing out any leftover bits & bobs

Never thought I'd be so desperate for a BFN!!

It took me a month for my bfp to go with both my m/c's. Hope yours moves on quickly!
