Hi mamas! I just found out that I'm pregnant with baby #2! We are so excited. I'm a little confused though. I'm still BFing my 13mo old, I got my cycle back 7mo postpartum and the first 2-3 cycles were really long, the last 3-4 have been normal, 28 days & same flow and symptoms as before I was pregnant with #1. I had what appeared to be implantation bleeding yesterday afternoon (didn't have implantation bleeding with #1). My first day of my last period was 3/13 so I was expecting to start my period again 4/10. When I saw bleeding yesterday I took a hpt even tho I knew it would be way too early to get a positive...I got an immediate dark positive on a wondoflo and an FRER! Now I'm confused....even if I ovulated really early I shouldn't be able to get a positive test the same day I have implantation bleeding. I got a BFP 3days before my missed period when I was preg with #1 but it was faint and only 3 days early not 10!! I'm waiting for my dr office to call me back and make an appt, in the meantime I'm wondering if anyone experienced anything like this before?

I had implantation bleeding a few days after my bfp...I think sometimes it takes a while for the blood to make it's way out, so you get the bleeding several days after the actual implantation.

How dark was your positive? I wonder if you got pregnant last cycle.

My positive was very dark! Darker than the control.
I'm trying to upload a pic but it's not working for me right now.

That looks like a positive you'd get at about 5-6 weeks along!

You are farther along than you think. Congrats!

Yup I agree with the other ladies. This is not a new pregnancy. Congrats though! Please update when yo find out how far you are.

Congrats i got that sort of line at 5/6 weeks so i think your further along than you think. maybe get some bloods and a scan done ? good luck :)

when is the last time you got a negative test? I can't wait for you to find out how far along you actually are because imho that's no pre-period positive. Lol. At any rate congrats! Keep us updated.

Well dr couldn't see anything on ultrasound yesterday but I don't feel like he looked very hard because he found a cyst on my ovary & spent most of his time on that, have to go to radiology for that tomorrow to check it out more. He said there's a 50/50 chance this will be a viable pregnancy. I had bloodwork taken yesterday too & he's supposed to call me this morning sometime with results, & then go back weds for another round of bloodwork to make sure it's rising correctly. I had some light spotting that was of concern because it was red. Good news is my cervix is closed so I haven't miscarried, praying I don't!

Good luck, I hope it all goes well tomorrow in radiology and with your bloodwork. x

I'm sorry he didn't see anything on the ultrasound. Maybe it's too early? Your FRER is very dark, though, which is confusing. I wonder if you're between 4-5 weeks? Hope the spotting eases up. It's good that your cervix is closed. Let us know how the bloodwork goes!

I had an extremely dark line on a FRER at 4+2. At 5 wks mine 'sucked' the dye out of the control line. In fact last pg I had great lines too. You may be 4/5 wks and have high HCG. Some women naturally do. I wouldn't write anything off for another 2-3wks. What type of us did you have?

I had a transvaginal u/s on Monday and Wednesday & they couldn't find baby which wouldn't be concerning on it's own but my hcg levels stayed the same from mon to Wednesday so dr said it's technically only a threatened miscarriage right now but if I don't miscarry naturally in the next few days they will want to discuss other procedure options. Now the concern is making sure it's not an ectopic pregnancy.

Transvaginal can cause a little amount if spotting. It doesn't increase your chance of mc, but can irritate your cervix, which might be what your spotting was. Don't lose hope yet.

I know the exams and ultrasounds can cause spotting and I was definitely encouraged that those things were the cause. I've just never heard of someone having hcg levels stay the same and go on to have a healthy pregnancy. My dr basically told me it's hopeless and there is no baby :-(( I'm devastated. I still don't want to believe it & don't think I can believe it until I actually miscarry. My only hope I am holding onto is that maybe it was a twin pregnancy and one twin didn't make it & that's why numbers stayed the same. It's highly unlikely tho :-( thanks for the encouragement & words of hope.

Levels are down to 66 today, at least it is happening naturally. Very grateful for God's grace to endure a bitter providence.
