BFP!!!!!!! Soooo happy

Well after coming through the tough months while my wife had her operation we've been back trying for 4 months and Monday just gone we got our first BFP! Just did these 3 tests now

It was a funny one this month the appointment had come through for the Women's in Liverpool for the 22nd August for a Transvaginal scan and then the 27th the appointment with the specialist to discuss results.

We inseminated as usual this month and went to see a psychic medium. While the he said that H's nan (who passed 15 years ago) said we travelled a long way for good new. He also said the word Leyton to us. Loads of stuff we wrote down.

Anyway last Monday we were at this museum on holiday (travelled a long way...) and on the wall in the middle of a load of info was the word Leyton!!!! We both went OMG!!!! Went home and tested and it was a BFP!!!

We were both shocked!!!

The insemination this month we put in about 3ml of conceive plus and she stayed on the bed while I waited to collect the cup from our donor. He did his bit and handed me the cup. So legged it in the bedroom and stripped off and gets on the bed. Syringes it up using a 10ml syringe and slides it in.
Baby lady dance and then presses plunger then big O then leave syringe in place for about an hour or so and relaxed on the bed with bum and legs in arm (helps we have an electric bed lol)

Next day to his house but this time it was just quick as his house mate was in the next room so it's was a bit weird ha ha!!! Sticks it in plunger in O legs in air for 30 mins then mooncup in to keep it in then drive home.

We made sure this month we lay on the bed for a few hours after and left the syringe in longer than we have done before. Might have pushed it in a bit far second day as when I took it would it had a bit of blood on the syringe tip.

Anyway it worked :0)

4w3d at present I think so next 4 and half weeks she is off work yay so she can chill out.

aww...2mums that is so amazing...my partner and I got our BFP back in march...it has been a wonderfully happy time and I hope you and yours have the greatest months ahead of you

7w1d - first app 6th sept. Would you pay for an early scan say at 10 weeks??? Or wait till NHS one between 12 and 14? When did everyone else get scanned by the NHS ?

Well I live in Texas...and was told by various people that some get scans early some have to wait till 12 weeks...it is dependent on your OB...I was lucky and my ob did an 8 week scan honestly for that 2 week wait I would try to wait it out and get the 12 week...that way you can save the funds for a scan at a later date like right now I have no more scans scheduled and I am wishing we could have another one....they are so expensive though and we didn't save for it

2 Mums - Congratulations! I started following your story back in October 2012 and my DW asked me the other day if I ever seen an update from you and whether you got your BFP. I was browsing around today and was very excited for you when I found this thread. Huge Congrats and best wishes for a healthy baby and a pleasant 9 months! We're very close, I'm 8 weeks today. I did have an early scan last week and it was amazing to see the lil heart flickering away. However I don't have to pay for my scans so there wasn't a question for me on whether or not to wait. Depending on the cost, if you ladies can swing it, it sure gives you a peace of mind to see the lil one.

I Would of waited for my 12 one but had an earlier one due to a scare x

We had one at 7 weeks too see the babys heart beat before they could sign us off. Best think ever seeing her tiny heart beating. Congrats again! xx
