BFP still 8 wks after second mc?

First of all Sorry if i offend anyone by posting in this bit i wasnt sure where to put it, thanks

Hi guys i'm back again, something really weird has happened, I miscarried 8 weeks ago tomorrow the last time and about 3 months before the time before that, well me and the hubby decided to give my body time to recover as mentioned in a previous post, sorting out my bedroom yday i found an old cheapo HPT, after popping it in my jewellery box I decided to do it today for the hell of it and got a faint BFP, went and got some more cheapies, another BFP and finally an expensive one another BFP, right, now the odd thing is we have actually been careful this month as we didnt want to start TTC until next month, sorry if to much info but we have been using the withdrawal method as i didnt want to mess my cycle around with pills, so i'm thinking now maybe i still have something left from my last MC thats making my body think i am still pg? then i'm thinking am I in Denial? i dont know what to think, any advice would be appreciated xxx

Where are you in your current cycle? Are you due your AF soon?

hmmm...then 2 options. Either you might be pregnant from a naught little spermy that sneaked out early (withdrawal method not perfect and all that) or it's still positive from previous mc.

nhs direct says this:

"Testing after a miscarriage, abortion, or ectopic pregnancyIf you have had a miscarriage, abortion, or an ectopic pregnancy, it is possible that a home pregnancy test may still test positive for a while afterwards. This is because there may still be raised levels of HCG in your body.

In this situation, if you get a positive test result, it does not necessarily mean that you are still pregnant. However, you may need to see your GP depending on how long ago your pregnancy ended.

If you have had a miscarriage, you may still get a positive result up to 35 days afterwards. You should see your GP if you are still testing positive after this time."

So sounds like you need to see your doc. Let us know how you get on. x

i would defo go 2 docs 2 make sure . Me and my bf had been using the withdrawal meth as i didnt want to use the pill cause of health issues and now im 3months . So id go jus 2 get it checked out

Good luck hun. It could mean one of two things. Loo is right. Retained products or you're preg again. Please go and get checked out. All my best.

Hello honey!

I would strongly suspect your pregnant honey, because if it was retained tissue from the m/c you would know by now as you would of had a nasty infection and possibly heavy bleeding, and a high temp, and basicly feel ill..

You are more fetile after any pregnancy.... all the best honey, and i am sure you will be delighted aswell as petrified, but you will get a early reasurrance scan, let us know how you get on honey, love Ash xxxxx

I wouls have to say I think you are pregnant hun. I don't think without the wothdrawal method that there would be so many Catholics in the world. It doesn't work very well. 8 weeks after your m/c there wouldn't be any hcg left after that length of time. Maybe 30 days but not 8 weeks!!! So I would get myself to the Drs hun and get it confirmed by a professional xxx

Thanks guys, thought i would update as someone had bumped my post to the top again, I am pregnant again and it has been a real shock! it has taken 2 days to sink in and I am getting there, I thought I must have retained products as i was in that much denial! fingers crossed 3rd time lucky, I'm feeling as hard as nails after the last 2 experiences, lucky my mother always taught me to pick myself up and dust myself off, easier said than done sometimes though.... xxx
