Hi ladies,
I hope you don't mind me posting here but I'm kind of in limbo right now and was wondering if anyone had heard of something like what I'm going through and, if so, what was the outcome? I posted this in Miscarriage Support but I think I've stumped them all, so I thought I'd try here:
I started to m/c on April 14th with extremely light spotting. It gradually increased over the weekend and, by the time I saw my DR on the 19th, my uterus was completely empty with the exception of a few blood clots. The bleeding continued on for one week like a normal period, with more clots released. It stopped around 4/22 with occasional light spotting. That weekend, 4/24, OH and I were in Las Vegas and had a few drinks, we ended up
. The only time. About 6 days later, I was still spotting brown but only when I wiped and I noticed some EWCM mixed in with the old blood so I took this as a sign of ovulation. My breasts are also a tad bit more tender than they were a week ago and I'm nauseous ... both very typical of me when I ovulate.
Back on the 19th, the doctor had ordered some blood work for me (to determine the cause of the m/c) and said that I needed to have a negative HPT before going in. I planned to go tomorrow so I took a test today (digital in the middle of the afternoon) and it's positive. I'm freaking out right now. It's been nearly 3 weeks and I wasn't even 6 weeks along when I first started to miscarry. I asked them to run HCG levels but they said everything was out, including tissue.
Anyway, I called the doctor for some advice and they ordered an HCG test. Now, I'm just waiting for the blood work to come back to see what my levels are and we'll take it from there. It has to be too early to be pregnant. And I'm so, so nervous because I doubt my body is ready this soon. I'm also worried that there could be something left that they didn't catch ... which is most likely the case.
I'm curious ... has anyone experienced (or heard of) this before? And/or what was your experience with becoming pregnant straight after a miscarriage (no AF in between?) The nurse that I spoke with flat out told me that my chances of miscarrying again are great since my body hasn't healed yet. If I am pregnant, I really hope that she's wrong!
