Thanks everyone for your well wishes!!![]()
I rang my GP surgery this morning but the receptionist said I don't need to see the doctor. Apparently they will pass on my details to one of the community midwives who will contact me directly and arrange to do a home visit. I've already got a long list of questions for her!!
It was so weird going into work today just as if everything's normal when all I can think about is 'OMG, I'm pregnant!!'
We've just told nearest and dearest though so that has helped it to sink in a bit.![]()

spartacus said:ahhh Ibet everyone was so pleased for you! Not sure what to do about telling anyone yet as don't know how far I am gone yet. I think we will probably tell DH brother and sister in law as we are close to them and need a bit of support especially as have lots of social events coming up and I never turn down vino and the girlies have eyes like hawks so definitely need some help in avoiding the issue at the moment!
Let me know what they say honI still haven't heard from the MW so wondering what first visit's all about? I can't wait to get it confirmed by MW as still not 100% trusting the HPT (even though I tested twice)!!
I ummed and ahhed about telling people so soon, but I thought it would be best to get some support from others and felt like I was going to burst with excitement!!Also DH and I find it sooooooo hard to keep secrets!
They are all so pleased, grandparents are already trying to work out what they'll be known as 'nan', nanny', 'gran', 'granny', 'granddad', 'grandpa' the list goes on... so are all pretty excited
Good luck at the docs
