Last night I woke up in slight pain more uncomfortable I had pain in my lower back and all around my lower tummy and it felt like tightenings and cramps all rolled into one it lasted for abit then today I've been fine until I came back from shopping I experienced the same again and quickly went for a lie down which helped and then this evening I've had it on and off a couple times. I can only describe it as a cramping sensation similar to af pains but with back ache and tummy tightenings as well, I experienced the same with my previous pregnancy with DS but I got them at 17,21 & 23 weeks and was told they were Brixton hicks they used to wake me in the night I tried taking deep breaths as they felt like contractions and this is the same feeling so could I be getting BH this early? I'm 13w3d today

I've been googling it to see what it could be and I have read baby has a growth spurt around now and cramping is common as the uterus stretches?

I've been listening on my Doppler lots today and baby's hb seems fine!
Anyone else share any light onto this would be much appreciated x

Sounds to me like it could be Braxton hicks. I've had them already with this pregnancy (my second) never had them with my first so was strange at first. Mine haven't been painful, maybe slight discomfort. I have found I seem to get them more if I've been busy, don't get them so much if I've been chilling out. It could be a combination of Braxton hick and stretching pains.

I started getting em at 8 weeks and they really do hurt.. once my belly started showing I noticed it was getting rock hard with the pain. I guess with subsequent children its normal to get them sooner amd for them to hurt.. xx

Thanks for the replies girls I'm guessing it's pretty normal then and not to worry I just thought it was abit early this time round I'm feeling fine today (touch wood) yes they are abit painful and uncomfortable not the nicest of things to experience! x
