'big' babies, induction and weight gain stopping at 36 weeks?!

I had a scan at 36+3 and was told the baby was 8lb 7oz. Had another last week at 40+3 and was told the baby was 10lb 0.5oz. I'm 41 weeks today and neither my midwife or consultant are concerned as I tested negative for GD. I have been booked in for an induction on Friday if baby doesn't come by then, but that's just standard in the UK for being overdue, not because of baby's size. Lets hope baby makes an appearance before Friday! X

I've always had big babies.

Baby 1 : measured big. Didn't get checked for GD. Went in to be induced at 42 weeks. Baby was born at 42+4 weighing 10lbs 10oz.

Baby 2 : measured big. Checked for GD which came back negative. Went in to be induced at 42 weeks. Baby was born at 42+1 weighing 10lbs 1oz.

Baby 3 : measured big. Checked for GD which came back negative. Waters broke at 41+2. No progression so induced that same day. Baby was born at 41+3 weighing 11lbs 0.7oz

Oh and to set your mind at ease, my third baby (the biggest) was by far the easiest to push out ;)

Just to up date from my original post, baby was born by c section at 38+2 and was 6lb 9oz, 25th centile for measurements and smallerthan my 36 week scan :)
