Why am I so stupid?

I have just realised that I have had my bloods taken on CD22 and not on 21 as I am supposed to. Is one day going to make loads of difference?

Cowbag has arrived today making this one of my shorter cycles.

Should I phone the doctors on Monday and reschedule my CD21 bloods.

Has this happened to anyone else

When did you O? I believe its more about having then done approx 6/7 days after O
I always had my bloods done on CD22/23 .. 'cos I O later than CD14.

Mine was done on CD21 even though, pre-IVF, I had a 26 day cycle, and Od around CD12/13. I don't think one day will make a huge difference, but a second test probably won't be a bad thing. Like Farie, I think the best date to do it is related to when you O, so if your results are low from one, you could try a different date relevant to your O date.

Ok, so how many days before AF was the test done hon?

AF came yesterday (25 July) on CD24 of my cycle making it a 23 day cycle for me. I had the test on 23 July making it CD22 and not CD21.

I did not use OPK last cycle as I had a chemical pregnancy and did not want to fall again but wait for my new cycle to come round.

From previous cycles, I get smileys on CD12 so I guess I OV on CD13.

I dont have a textbook cycle unfortunately.

What do you think girls, should I get another CD21 test done?

A similiar thing happened to me. I was having mine done as i had had a few short cycles out of the blue. The cycle i had bloods taken was a 25 day cycle, i had them on day 21. The nurse screwed up and didnt get enough for my progestrone test. So i went back on day 25. They took some more just in case. I then started bleeding earlier than usual 5 hrs later. The tests were void! If you started bleeding say day 27 / 28 then bloods would be fine. Any earlier i would have then taken again maybe day 20 if you have shorter cycles as my clinic do a lot of mine day 20 since i am normal 27 day cycle. On the other hand i got refered to clinic based on wrong results as bloods quite obviously showed i was not ovulating as taken wrong day (i know i ovulate after having numersous scans) if we had not been refered it may have been even longer before we found out my hubbie has sperm problems. I would suggest perhaps having them done again, a day or 2 makes little difference but more than that probably will do!

Maybe ask your GP about it specially since your cycle was shorter then normal. I had my tests done a day earlier too becuz of weekend but the nurse said it didn't matter.

Maybe see what the results are first if you don't have to wait long for them. They are mainly to check you ov'd depending on your progesterone levels, so ideally need to be seven days after ov when prog peaks. Yours had probably started to fall by CD 22 if you had your AF four days later, but it may well be high enough still to show you ovulated. x

Don't fret over it, hun....just had this very conversation with my FS. CD21 bloods are actually not CD21 at all...they are meant to be 7dpo bloods, but as 'most' people Ov on CD14...add 7 and it becomes 21!

But, its not a problem taken at another date post Ov as long as they know. Mine were taken only 3dpo.....they just said they'd adjust the result. So just let them know & it'll be fine I'm sure.

Then if they want them repeating, they can ask for them...xxx
