What have you tried to battle stretchie? Whats worked and whats been a waste of money?
Im finding boots stretchmark oil rubbish... bio oil is amazing, but i use too much at once so its really not cost effective for me!!

What else works well? I only have one on my stomach and want it to stay at one as much as possible! I know im prone to them.. but every little helps lol

I used bio oil from when i very first found out. Im prone too as is my mum, and so far none, not on hips/bump or anywhere :)

I've used Bio-Oil and so far *knock on wood* I've managed to avoid them. Definitely worth the price IMO. I bought the largest bottle at 12 weeks and I've still got a quarter left, so you don't need to use loads for it to work x

It's worth it though, search ebay for bio oil coupons. I scored 10- 2.00 of coupons for .99 cents plus free shipping. Nothing is going to keep you from getting them if you are going to get them- but bio oil faded mine from early pregnancy already. You can't see them and they are only a few months old!

Bio Oil 2-3 times a day since about week 12. Nothing visible yet!

I used bio-oil but I'm switching to Shea Butter and Coconut Oil - My sister who has no stretchies from her baby used Calendula oil and took Vitamin C in the morning and Zinc at night. HTH

I'm using bio oil whenever I remember. I hate the feel of it though..

No stretchies yet just the old ones from having my daughter.

I have been using Bio Oil, Re-gen Oil and the Superdrug own brand one but, despite using them religiously, I have horrible stretch marks on my tum! Still putting it on though and am trying Palmer's Stretch Mark cream as well. My midwife said that fair skinned people were more likely to get them and though the creams could help them fade, nothing can really stop them.

If you are looking for cheap Bio Oil, Lloyds chemist had all sizes half price last week so I got the biggest bottle for under £10.

You can also get the large bottle (200ml I think?) on Amazon for under £10.

I've been using Bio oil since the first trimester and not had anything yet. I am prone to them (got them on my thighs when I was growing) and my mum has them really bad so I'm assuming it's Bio oil stopping them which makes it worth every penny. I bought 3 bottles back at the beginning of the year in boots which were half price and 3 for 2 so saved a small fortune anyway :)

Im using regen. I started getting stretchmarks at 30 ish weeks. Was so so sad! I hope hey dont look so bad when they die down. Everyone says they do fade a lot but i sometimes wonder if its because theyre trying to make me feel better! X

I used bio oil until it ran out about 5 months now I just use baby oil or random body lotion. I'm 38 weeks and I dont have any yet.

Bio oil at night and cocoa butter in the morning, 3 tiniest ones have appeared on my boob but otherwise nothing and skin feels lovely and soft :)

xxx

My midwife told me at my first appointment not to bother with all the fancy, expensive oils etc. She had been a midwife for 30+ years (just retired in May) and she recommended using Nivea Cream (not the lotion) and drinking a TON of water/ keep hydrated. (also she VERY strongly advised me to watch how much and how fast I gained weight! Not that that helps much now that we are all in 3rd. tri already :haha:)
I know that most women seem to get stretch marks if their own mother/ family members did, so I have that in my favor to begin with because none of the women in my family seem to get them.
I haven't had one! (knock on wood).. I use Nivea Cream twice a day and at night I give my bump a massage with either baby oil or plain massage oil (no scent). Fingers crossed I make it through the next 6 weeks or so without them!! :flower:

I am using bio oil and have done since I found out, I had no stretch marks until after 30 weeks, I dont have loads and theyre quite faded so it must be doing something!

I used Bio oil and the re-gen cream (i prefer the cream), I didn't get any stretch marks until around 33 weeks and now i'm covered in them, on my belly, legs and bum.

I'm gonna start using the bio oil again after baby arrives to hopefully help them fade as like other posters have said, they don't really prevent stretch marks.

I'm using re-gen oil because its like cheap-ass bio oil, I've got none so far, but obviously there's still time.
As a birthday present I had a bar of moisurising baby oil sort of stuff from lush, which you use in the shower - it's amazing and I highly reccomend it for rubbing all over your belly bum and boobies in the shower :) It's better than re-gen oil and keeps my skin soft for longer, but then maybe that's because re-gen oil is rubbish? :)

i've used Clarins Tonic Oil since 12 weeks - i used it last pregnancy too and had a HUGE bump then and measuring way ahead this time too.
BUT - not one stretch mark at all, and my skin feels fab. pricey, but worth it imo xx

Bio Oil, and not even one mark. But I asked my mum and she never had them either..

I used it since around 20 weeks every time I remembered, but use it daily now.

HI i have been using Bio Oil but also Palmers Stretch mark cream.
I think the latter is also good and i have friends that claim they had none and used the Palmers. Its cheaper so worth buying some.
I tend to alternative between the 2 as i dont like the Bio oil in a morning as its greasy so i just use it at night and the Palmers in the morning.......... none yet but there is still time!!
My friend had none until the last week!!
