Birth Options in Pittsburgh, PA?

Well, The Midwife Center, where I had my preconception counseling visit, is booked during my EDD!

And the Midwives at Magee, which isn't my first choice as I don't want a hospital birth, can't see me until I'm almost through with my first trimester!

The two independent doulas I've found around here are both not taking new clients till 2013!

I really don't know what to do right now (other than give in to my hormones and cry). Why is it so difficult to give birth to my baby in the way that I want? Are there any other options out there for me?

I just posted similar on another thread, apologies to those that have to read twice, but have you considered home birth? A quick google search turned up a few midwifery practices in your area.

I would love to do a home birth, but1) I'm not sure they're legal here, and 2) All the midwives I've found are either on maternity leave themselves or not taking clients till 2013.
