Okay so I did my birth plan up today. Wasn't sure if I was going to bother but it gives me a little bit of self-security even if it doesn't all go accordingly. So I would love some opinions regarding it and if you think there is anything I should add. Thanks ladies :)

-----
Labor
I would like to be free to walk around during labor.
I wish to be able to move around and change position at will throughout labor.
I would like to be able to have fluids by mouth throughout the first stage of labor.
I would prefer to keep the number of vaginal exams to a minimum.
I do not want an IV unless I become dehydrated.

MonitoringI do not want an internal monitor unless Kezzy has shown some sign of distress.

Labor Augmentation/InductionI would prefer to be allowed to try changing position and other natural methods (walking, nipple stimulation) before Pitocin is administered.

Anesthesia/Pain MedicationI realize that many pain medications exist. I'll ask for them if I need them.

Cesarean
Unless absolutely necessary, I would like to avoid a Cesarean.
If my primary care provider determines that a Cesarean delivery is indicated, I would like to obtain a second opinion from another physician if time allows.
If a Cesarean delivery is indicated, I would like to be fully informed and to participate in the decision-making process.
I would like My Fiance present at all times if Kezzy requires a Cesarean delivery.
If Kezzy is not in distress, Kezzy should be given to My Fiance immediately after birth.

Episiotomy
I would prefer not to have an episiotomy unless absolutely required for Kezzy's safety.

Delivery
I would like to be allowed to choose the position in which I give birth, including squatting.
Even if I am fully dilated, and assuming Kezzy is not in distress, I would like to try to wait until I feel the urge to push before beginning the pushing phase.
I would like to have Kezzy placed on my stomach/chest immediately after delivery.

Immediately After DeliveryI would like to have My Fiance cut the cord.
I would like to hold Kezzy while I deliver the placenta and any tissue repairs are made.
I would like to have Kezzy evaluated and bathed in my presence.
If Kezzy must be taken from me to receive medical treatment, My Fiance or some other person I designate will accompany Kezzy at all times.
I would prefer to hold Kezzy rather than have her placed under heat lamps.

Postpartum
I would like a private room, if available.
Unless required for health reasons, I do not wish to be separated from my baby.
I would like to have Kezzy "room in" and be with me at all times.

Breastfeeding
I plan to breastfeed Kezzy and would like to begin nursing very shortly after birth.
Unless medically necessary, I do not wish to have any bottles given to Kezzy (including glucose water or plain water).
I do not want Kezzy to be given a pacifier.

Other
My support person is My Mother and I would like her to be present during labor and delivery.
I would prefer that no students, interns, residents or non-essential personnel be present during my labor or the birth.

have you thought about delayed cord clamping????

also i added to mine that no formula was to be given without written consent, and no bottled were to be used, but syringes and cups instead

another thing i did add to mine is that if any medical attention was to be recieved ie baby revived that the cord was not to be cut, this means baby is still getting oxygen from you therefore DR's have a longer time to work on them....

but all in all brill birth plan hun, mine is in my journal near the last page if you wanna take a look link is in my sig

No, I don't particularily want delayed cord clamping (but I don't think they do it here without permission anyway) and bub is not to be given formula at all, I've written no bottles. But I want the cord to be cut fairly quickly; if complications arise then I'll let the doc use his discretion. Thanks for the tips :D
