Ahhh ok well this probably won't be THAT long but will try to add in details. :)

Woke up Aug 1st feeling not quite myself... I had what I was thinking were Braxton Hicks... getting about 2-3 an hour. Thinking not much of them. However was feeling like I HAD to cook a meal :haha: like a BIG one. So the morning I started out at the store buying all the things I needed. Got home cleaned up some.
Still having contractions 2-3 an hour but still in denial :haha: I kept saying that I CAN'T go into labour as my DH had a business meeting the next day in a city 3 hours away from here.
About 5pm they increased to about 5-6 an hour... still in denial. Well actually come to think of it I think I started asking on here somewhere if what I was feeling were braxton hicks or what.
I remember feeling quite upset that my DH only ate a small portion of the meal I cooked :baby:
Overnight I had a clear out and alot more contractions... nothing really overly painful I just had to breath through them. However still wasn't convinced.
1am I finally called the midwife tell her the contractions are anywhere from 3-7 mins apart... who told me it was braxton hicks or the start of EARLY labour and to drink water and go back to bed. Well I tried.. no luck I was just SO ansty walking all over the apartment thinking "omg this CAN'T be it!!" then I look out and see a full moon and see lightening :haha:
I kept waking up my DH saying something was up... and that I wasn't sure what. Oh gotta mentioned I cleaned the apartment did ALL the dishes etc...

Ok so skipping ahead to about 5am.. the time my DH was supposed to leave for his trip I was like lemme just get checked out first. And hes all like "Oh don't worry I'm not going anywhere incase it turns into something"

But before hand I call the midwife again tell her my contractions are 2-5 mins apart, and she still didn't sound convinced GRR but I'm like I would like to be checked out so shes like ok come on in.
THANKFULLY shift changed and I got a new midwife one I actually really like :happydance:

And she checks me(which I SCREAMED and cried through) and tells me I'm 5 centimetres  OMG I'm thinking this can't be it!! So I get admitted at 6:30am
we get moved to our own room and everything seems fine :D

Labour was insanely easy at the first part... I got to 8 centimetres by 1pm I believe. It was manageable I took a bath... I walked around... sat on the ball. Thinking why is this SO easy. then BAM 2pm all hell breaks lose... the pain all of a sudden increases alot!! and I was having problems coping but figured I'll manage.. 6pm I get checked again and only at 9  at which point I was like WHHHYY is this taking so long. So the midwife gave me the option of having my waters broke for me or piocin... so after much thought I was like ok you can break my waters. Also I kept fighting the contractions :nope: not a good idea.. apparently if my body was naturally pushing I was supposed to go with it not try and stop it.
7:20ish I tell my DH "You know... I think I need an epidural" I was so upset at this point mostly cause I was having a hard time coping with pushing sensation.
So my midwife comes in and I'm like "I need an epidural" which she then said she'll check me first and is like "The babies head is RIGHT there do you wanna just push and it to be over with?" and i'm like "Noooooo I need an epidural" so they call the anesthecia(whatever that word is :haha:) and I was saying a buncha nasty things about what was taking them so long.
8pm they get it into me. I felt a bit of a failure for getting one, but I think it was what was for the best at that point for me. Started pushing at 8:10.
And she was born at 8:40.. :happydance:
Weighing 5pounds 12 ounces, 18 3/4 inches long. SOOO tiny!!
Also I got a 3rd degree tear  OUCH! but thats another thing I'm thankful for the epidural I didn't feel it at all and I didnt feel the stitching.
However NOW I do :haha:

At 5 centimeters
