Birth Story!

Oh Phoenix well done! Sounds like a difficult time you had, I'm so glad you're both ok and healthy. Congratulations on your little girl xxx

Thanks sweety it was a pretty awful labour, but the second she was out all the pain was totally gone and I just had this squirming little purple rabbit on my chest. I got in the shower after an hour and just stood in there soaking, and then walked down to the ward.

I'm really feeling great apart from the tailbone! I think because I had no drugs my body bounced straight back.

She had her first proper feed this morning too... I'm so proud of her :)

Oh bless her!

I'm glad you said that about the drugs, I really want to try not to have any so that I can feel the same after. I think you did really well hunni.

Hope you both get some rest xx

Crazy story! Congrats on your precious little girl!

Haha 5 pounds is around 2 kilos right,, so in actual fact quite tiny but congratz x

Well Done and a big congrats to you and your baby girl!

xxxx

5.9 pounds is weenie compared to what i thought u meant haha i bet she is beautiful xxxx

Yes she's a tiny little thing! We didn't have any clothes to fit her! Even the tiniest newborn clothes swim on her..

I got back to my local hospital yesterday, and finally got to see my lovely OB. And he said it looks like the doctor that delivered her with the forceps has probably broken my tail bone. So I'm going to be in pain for at least a month.

On the plus side, I have 9 stitches and can't even feel them strangely!

Clara - On the drugs front, I'm really happy NOW that I didn't have any... but that didn't stop me screaming and crying for them at the time, and I would have had an epidural if I didnt progress so quickly. Just keep your options open! You won't know how you will cope till your there xx

Ouch! Just read this again and realised you said they BROKE your tailbone! Poor you! No wonder you can't feel the stitches, I've heard that breaking your tailbone is v painful. Take care hunni!
