Birth Videos Terrify me now! I loved then before I was pregnant!

I loved watching birthing videos before I found out I was pregnant. I watched one yesterday and was terrified!

yup, i stopped watching One Born Every Minute because it was all a bit too much. In truth, it's worse watching it on TV as you get all the gory details whereas when you're going through it you're half out of it half the time to notice too much of the gory bits.

when i got to third tri, if i watched birth videos it would scare the hell out of me!

For some reason the birth videos are bugging me this time too! I didn't really have a problem with it during my first pregnancy, and didn't watch any during the second. But this time around I am just totally freaked out everytime and feel the need to cross my legs - like LO would come out early or something just because I watched a delivery video!

I used to love watching OBEM and reading about labour, but since I've been pregnant I just can't. It seems too real and I'd like to stay in denial as long as possible!

I feel the same! I saw maybe 5 videos and I think I'm done with it (the videos, I mean)! It just didn't look good to me

All throughout my pregnancy I watched birth shows with OH. Now I can't. I don't want to ever watch one again.

i saw OBEM, but in the end, my own labour wasnt at all like ANY of those i watched, not at all, i think maybe because its all seen from your point of view instead of a fly on the walls point of view, and your dont actually get to see most of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been obsessed with shows like Baby Story for years! Until I watched a youtube video of a up close and personal zoomed in shot of a live birth. Worse than watching the movie Saw!

I'm pregnant with my first and I'm terrified too! Thought it was just me

Something about knowing that I'm already locked in and the rollercoaster has already begun that makes it scarier. No turning back lol

I've been watching shows like "a baby story" and all those types of shows since I was 10 (possibly younger!).. They dont bother me still. Maybe once I have a scan and know for sure that there is something growing inside of me and it will come out, I might freak out. I am in denial still lol

When I was in first tri and I would watch those videos I would literally vomit LOL a few weeks ago I could watch them but now that it is coming down to the time I'm starting to get a little nervous!

I loved watching them before i was pregnant with my 1st little one. Sort of just to know what to expect i guess. Now i know..I hate them! I wish i didn't know what im in for this time round
