Hi all, so i am pregnant for the third time. First we lost at 6 weeks, 2nd we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in 2013. Labour was fine,i got induced 10days overdue and i had gas and air and epidural. After two hours of pushing she wasn't moving and i ended up having a c section. My c section was fine and recovery was very fast.

Labour was ok. I didn't mind the contractions, especially coz i had pain relief, but i was surprised to feel such pressure down below. I assumed u would feel absolutely nothing. This pressure i hated the feeling of and wander how i will manage this time round.

A big part of me wants to try natural birth again because i didnt manage it last time, so i really wanna give it another go and hopefully have a vaginal birth. But how do i cope with the pressure down below. I know it is the head, and is like doing a big number 2 but how do i prepare to deal with feeling that.

Please help.

editing because Im pretty sure you meant vbac as natural and not pain med free lol!!

I don't have advice :/ the epi might not have been that strong for you if you still had horrid pressure. I know lots of moms feel nothing with an epi. Your second one might work better!

Go for the Epidural! I had a vbac with my second child and was induced with pitocin so probably had LOTS of pressure but the epidural worked and couldn't really feel it just started pushing when they would tell me to..
I went on to have a second c section with my third because he was breach but hoping for another vbac this time around and will do the same thing, it was an amazing experience.

Hi thanks girls for the responses. Yea i meant a normal vaginal birth by natural. Even if i had pain relief, which i will, i would still think of it as a natural birth compared to a c section. But i know many consider natural is no pain relief lol. What does vbac mean? Im trying to learn all the terminology.

Im currently 16 weeks, so almost half way. Yay.

You have to use that pressure to your advantage. It's a very short lived phase, I think it's the scariest too - it's the point where I always panic and think 'I can't do this'
You just need to breathe and push through it and remind yourself that you're at the last hurdle and baby will almost be in your arms

vbac means vaginal birth after cesarean. I really don't remember a whole lot of pressure after getting the epidural! maybe what you got wasn't enough?!
